I wish I had more time to respond to everything I'd like to respond to.

There's so much in almost every post here that could be broadened, expanded, deepened...and then debated.

Mind Change by Susan Greenfield.

Was just released and it's on Amazon. Can't figure how to drop the affiliate link from the url, so just google it.

WIA

Also recommended, Nick Carr's stuff. I've read some of his essays but I thought that "The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains" was really good. That book spurred me to unplug a lot and to really examine my relationship with technology.

My gut is saying that you have to cut against that, which is why I don't believe in online game, or at least minimal online. I open girls... hell, people in general, and I'm almost always surprised at how easy it is. There was some fivethirtyeight headline lately about how "Americans are more likely to have a positive view of Muslims if they actually know one". Well, duh. That's the advantage of having a relationship with people, they see you more as you and less as a preconception.

As an aside, the forum could use a macro where we can plug in Amazon URLs and they get Roosh's affiliate link. Handy way to support RVF, I think.

Seriously, how can a man compete against all the worlds entertainment and thousands of ready orbiters and thirsty cocks - one fingertip away. I doubt even Rooshs 2073 projection of "Steroids, Fame and Spam Approaching" is enough.
Is it time to evaluate who can? Even the so called alphas get cuckolded, and I doubt Leo's bitches delete their instagram/tinder account, just because they are with him.
Even if you are better then them in their minds (and that's a requirement for every relationship with a woman), there will times she will think she is way beneath you or way above you. In any case the quite static world and statuses our parents knew is dead, we are living in a society who is living to and for the next moment. One moment you are in, the other you are out (literally) ^^. A good part of the manosphere is interested in building something long-term, long-term investments as well as relationships. The environment and conditions are bad and will get worse, I guess the only way is to choose the path of Hedonism.
The biggest fight we have, is the fight against becoming dull and dead inside.

Really?

For the average man who wants be make money, bang girls, and live a comfortable life of freedom..

There has never been a better time to be alive.

Life was much harder 100 years ago, 200 years ago, 300 years ago..

I tried "hedonism". It gets old very fast.

We need much more then just sex to be happy.

That is a great sentence!

What I think about is, 10 years ago a chick might have had 5 options/men to choose from. If you out-competed the other 4 guys, you were the top using the pareto principle 20/80.
Consider tinder, her potential options are almost infinite, she could spin 10 plates at the same time. Basically you have to out-compete 9 men now.Status is not absolute, but relative. The probability of you outcompeting 9 men instead of 5 is lower.

That is true.

The sooner I can sell my shit, disconnect my internet, and move to some remote place in the mountains, the sooner I will find true happiness, because it will come from within me.

Interesting sentiment. Can you elaborate? What's stopping you from doing this now?

Because I have unfinished business. I can't leave until I know that I've tried my hardest to influence positive change in my culture and in this world.

If I try my hardest (and I have to KNOW deep down that I tried my hardest) and I still wasn't able to make a difference, then I'm dipping out of this bogus culture and going to the mountains.

If I'm successful, then I'll stick around and keep working at it, since I owe it to my fellow man that didn't have the opportunities that I have had. But I'll still end up retreating to somewhere peaceful because I can't work forever.

See, most people complain about the world, but I am actively trying to make it better with my work. If I'm not able to do this, then there's really nothing left here for me, and I'll go find happiness within myself, and let the rest of the world sort itself out.
