I’ve got a good question:

Is having an accent a good thing in attracting women?

I mean, it does seem to add to your sense of mystery. And American women seem to love British/French/Italian accents.

I asked a girl out. She said yes. I cancelled our date by e-mail. Told her something came up.

Well, the real reason is strict parents.

About a month or two later, I tried asking her out again. I bombed. I inadvertently confessed that I cancelled because of strict parents. I looked flushed and nervous (hey, it’s my first time, gimme a break). She even said if I was O.K. Then she walked away. I wanted to properly ask her out.

Well, she’s hooked up with her former boyfriend. However, they break up and get back together really often. I don’t know what to do. She seems to still have some attachments to her former bf.

Youre only eighteen so I doubt that she is expecting you to have your own bachelor pad. unless you're running game on a much older chic I don't see that being an issue, unless her boyfriend has his own place. Right now I think you need to back off of her a little bit and make it seem like you're disinterested...breathing down her neck and blowing up her phone won't help. Girls like a challenge...

Errr... how about this, forget her altogether? You're on this site, which means you obviously value having quantity in women to choose from. Spend your time and energy on finding other girls, this one sounds like your window of opportunity has closed anyway.

Do me one favor though, never cancel or make a date through email again, ok? That's pretty tacky when text messaging is so common now. Or at the very least pick up the phone.

Accents are semi-irrelevant (IMO) as it varies from woman to woman who likes them, and you'll never know pre-approach. Sure it can help you, but I'd put them on par with having a certain hairstyle, just depends on if the girl likes it or not. I wouldn't look at an accent as an obstacle, nor would I use one as a crutch.
