The most nutritious cooking method

Are frozen vegetables as good as fresh? Nutrient wise. I don't care about taste.

I want to make an important point about frozen vegetables and belly fat..

This is just my own opinion but it is based on decades of experimentation by my family, friends, and associates.

Fresh vegetables are very effective at breaking down stubborn belly fat.

Frozen vegetables are much less effective in this regard.

I believe is has something to do with "live enzymes", etc. ( i'm not exactly sure)

The best way I can explain it is this..

A fresh onion will make you cry. A frozen onion will barely make your eyes water. I think it's the enzymes..?

Whatever it is, my point is that, in terms of losing belly fat, fresh is better then frozen.

Just my opinion.

And, fresh vegetables taste better also. (Except for peas, I don't eat peas but I trust Veloces's opinion)

I've been living in hotels for 3 months and have reconfirmed that eating out everyday meal will kill you I look and feel like shit. So out of desperation, I bought one of these yesterday:

Problem is finding recipes online. The instruction manual only gave guidelines for pasta/rice, and one for chicken thighs. Does anyone have a website for microwave 'pressure cookers'? Specifically for beef and veggies. I got about another 3 weeks on the road, and seriously need to change my diet.

They do have microwave steamers, which I might pickup tomorrow. Both cost less than $10. Would save me a fortune while traveling.

This was my first attempt at using the microwave to cook a full and balanced meal. Keep in mind this is in no way gourmet, but had to at least be a step up from eating out everyday. I only used an all-in-one Lebanese seasoning, and some garlic salt. The challenge is to use as few moving parts as necessary, as I've only got so much room while traveling.

Cooking times:

Carrots and broccoli- 6 minutes
Pasta- 12 minutes
Chicken Thighs- 15 minutes

I made two runs of the chicken and pasta to be able to eat for the next 4-5 days, while varying my veggies daily since the cook time and prep is less.

Decent reviews on Amazon:

I originally bought this book as part of my suicide plans

Quote:Quote:

Alone in my dark apartment, having worn my 3 Wolf Moon T-Shirt as well for countless weeks, found this book to be my bible. I sit at my dining room table, playing World of Warcraft night after night, sobbing silently for want of notice by another human being. Pizza boxes piling up, chinese food leftovers filling my fridge, I was beginning to run out of options. I recently lost my job as a Custodial Consultant for sniffing the amonia in the utility closet. My funding for my gourmet meals from such world reknown chefs as Boyardi and Uncle Ben had begun running low. Stumbling in a drunken daze through the local bookstore, my elbow carelessly knocked a book onto the floor as I turned a corner. As I peered down, I saw the title, "Microwave Cooking for One."

Curiously, I picked it up and decided to have a a quick read. As I began flipping through the pages, I began to see that this was no ordinary cookbook. No my friends, this was a book passed down from the Gods themselves, displaying the infinite beauty of their messenger Marie T Smith on the cover. I knew at that moment, that this book would change my life. I purchased it with the last few dollars to my name and brought it home. Because of this book, I now eat like a King. Filet Mignon? Chicken Alfredo? Caviar? Its all in there. Not only do you never need to buy another cookbook, there will never be a book so beautifully written ever again. From that point, I ahve divided my life into two different categories, life before Microwave Cooking for One and life after, much like the Old and New Testament.

From this book I have made more friends than I can count, gained 30 pounds of rock hard muscle, and have a new job as VP of a major financial holdings company. This book worked for me, and I am sure it will work for you.

Seriously, it is tough to find any recipes for the microwave online...

I've spent many a night in small town motels for work, meat just sucks in the microwave. Crockpot or buy a little charcoal grill at walmart? The steamer devices look intriguing but I found it hard to buy decent fish if you are in really shitty towns.

Microwaving food is alright for certain things like vegetables. As far as traveling, there are better options (especially if you're going to places that do not have a microwave).

Hotplates are easy to get off Amazon. You can get a good one for $15.

After that, I'd use a stovetop pressure cooker and a skillet. Between the two of those, it would be easy to make a large variety of dishes.

Microwave ovens are one of the best ways to steam vegetables while maintaining flavor and nutrient content.

Anyone who tells you about "toxins" produced by microwaving food is either selling something or just full of shit.
