I just finished my 5th work trip to Jakarta and have some thoughts I'd like to add on top of the numerous other datasheets that exist already. In short, I think that Jakarta is going downhill fast, and has already lost its luster from a visit in December.
Stats: 5 girls in 7 days. 3 from social-circle, one from online, one from night game.
Logistics: This is the big one for me. The main date places that girls will be comfortable with are Mega Kuningan (Loewy/Oakwood) and Grand Indonesia/Plaza Indonesia. My office is in Sudirman so I generally try to stay near there (Oakwood), but on this trip I stayed at the Kempinski Residences which made it a lot easier to coordinate easy dates. Another option is Kemang, but this is a difficult place for many girls to get to, and they will surely prefer meeting somewhere in Central Jakarta.
Another point is that if possible, try to avoid the Thamrin City/Thamrin Residences. These aren't as upscale as what most expats stay at, and girls will more-or-less assume you have an average job (not that this matters, but it will with high-end girls). I would recommend Oakwood, Kempinski Residences, Ascott - something a little bit more high-end, especially if you plan on not banging 4's off Tinder.
Online Game: This is the one that concerns me, as most of the other datasheets rave about how easy it is to get laid off of Tinder in Jakarta. It is easy - think NYC in 2013 easy. That being said, the quality sucks. These girls are the 0's to maybe 6's of Indonesia, and they are not worth your time. I think some of us never experienced that glorious 2013 when we could actually hook up with real 7's and 8's off of Tinder without much effort.
Another point I must make is that it actually has gotten more difficult on Tinder since last November (1st visit). It's still easy, but if you're not good-looking then no girl above a 5 will give you her time.
My notch on this trip from online game came from Skout. I never use that app, but I opened it up and realized that I had 200 messages from girls here. I picked the hottest one, she game to my place, said OMG you look much better in person, asked me if I wanted a massage, and the rest is history.
Daygame: I work so I didn't really do much daygaming, but it would be easy enough. Girls will be interested in you if you don't give off too much of a player vibe. You can also give off a player vibe and get attention if you have good looks. I'd recommend GI for this since it's huge and all the bored unemployed girls will be there all day long. Other malls will work too, but Plaza Indonesia will be more difficult than GI.
Nightgame: It's been mentioned before - it's easy, but rather expensive. Don't go to Immigrant - it's all bottle service and old girls. I like Dragonfly and Blowfish. X2 for some reason is everyone's favorite on here, but no upper-tier Indo girl will go there for some reason. I went out with my social-circle to Cloud and Skye which are nice but terrible for meeting girls. You will most likely find yourself surrounded by a cloud of 0-6's in clubs - if you want to do better then I think it would be best to make some local friends or flirt with the Garuda FA's on your flight to CGK.
Status: This is all girls care about. They want the white dick, but they want the white dick from an important guy (unless they are useless sluts from Bandung). There are a lot more good-looking guys in Jakarta now thanks to the shitty European economy. There are tons of useless Spaniards running away from their country to work as chefs and models here making 10$/hour. Now there are Germans here too, and French, and Italians - all over the place. Working as bartenders, at hotels, at coffee shops, and so on. Most of them have shit jobs, but are in their 20's and have looks. It's no longer possible to just show up and be the best-looking guy. You'll need to have some kind of social status, or just lie and create it. Having a real job in Jakarta helped me meet some much hotter girls and it will most likely do the same for you. Seriously, last time I was here I was easily the best looking guy in Skye, and this past time there were guys with looks each time I was there. Times are changing.
Conclusion: Indonesian girls aren't Thai girls. They aren't Chinese/Taiwanese girls. I don't like short girls with dark skin, so I don't get especially excited to see the girls here. They are less attractive than Thai girls, but much easier (probably due to lack of exposure, this will surely change). I wouldn't recommend coming to Jakarta just for the girls. It's boring and the quality just isn't worth it. Old uglies aren't accepted as well here, so if you're of that variety I would just go to the Philippines. I'm off to BKK soon so I will try to see if there is any significant difference in difficulty to add.
Oh, and if you are the 30-year-old Latino guy living in the Kempinski Residences - I have met 2 girls who have gone on dates with you and mentioned how obvious you were when you mentioned that you 'need to charge your phone'.
