1) Come up with a new business idea.

2) And make money from it.

That is my main goal for 2015.

There was recently a celebrity goals for 2015 in one of the major newspapers in the UK.

By 31st December 2015, I will have a networth of $1 million+.

My life used to be disorderly. I didn't set goals, plan things, set deadlines, etc. I have taken on positions of significant leadership and responsibility, and my disorderly life was fucking things up pretty badly. I have let people down and that's not acceptable, so I am making much needed changes.

I am structuring an orderly life. Daily routines. Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly goals. Deadlines. Implementing time management, project management and people management strategies.

More importantly, I will demonstrate immense courage, persistence and work ethic.

Weambulance, you may want to reconsider the timing of your trip. December is the high season for tourist areas like Goa. Plane tickets will be at their highest and there will be a lot of tourists around in Goa.

March and October are usually pretty good times to make that kind of trip - lower flight and hotel prices, and things won't be as busy.

Things You Will Accomplish in 2015

I'm on my way to completing my first goal. Got a job paying ~20/hr. it's pretty easy just dirty and jobs seem to be clustered together. yesterday I worked from 6am till 1 then 10 pm to 10 am today. now I have 4 days off (40 hrs this week). Plus I have another job for 10-20 hrs a week. need to talk with my boss there about my weird schedule. looks like within a few months at my new job I can make up to 30 an hr if I'm running my own crew. there's a good chance of that seeing as it's the "slow season" right now. Looks to be avoiding the slowdown in Albertas economy as well since we are under contract for a huge number of jobs already.

gonna see how this whole oil situation works out and if it is still tanking by the end of the year I'll probably look to find a nice comfy lab job and use my bachelors to make 40-60ka year. I'll look into buying stock in big companies once they hit a low and flipping some vehicles. Ie. trucks, r vs, bikes / quads if I think the risk is worth it.

now I just need to clean up my eating. plan what I'm going to do with my money and make sure I make the most of my free time.

For me trying to set too many goals with exact numbers etc always ends up with me spreading out thin and checking out entirely. So for me mine are going to follow a more non-traditional pattern and setting a general theme of what I'm going to accomplish this year and lazer-focusing on one or two goals at a time.

This years themes will be progress through stability and a congruency between how I perceive myself and how the external world perceives me.

I will first get enough work to bring in enough money so that I am able to save 50% of my income each month. Right now my expenses are $1200 so that shouldn't be too hard. Adding for some luxuries I'll bump that up to 2k and strive for more (as the economy here looks to be on shaky ground for the time being). By the end of the year I'll have enough for 2 years saved up.

On top of pure earning I will plan most of my purchases ahead, I'll put some time into methodically shopping. Spending a little bit of time researching will hopefully pay off mostly in food/entertainment/clothing costs.

Now that I've got a nice cushion of cash, and a knowledge of cheap buys. I'm going to start working on my hobbies and appearance.

I'm going to start learning more about cooking, starting with fundamentals, the science behind it, and then I'll be studying cuisines of specific cultures throughout the world, learning a bit of history, hitting up ethnic markets, and maybe getting a few flags on my way. As a result of this I'll be eating nearly entirely home made food and I'll start getting my exercise through sports/recreation rather than the gym. I like lifting weights, but I need to work on my cardio health and also enjoy the competition that comes with sports. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, canoeing, baseball etc. I'd like to try hunting too. Also I'll hope to have a good friend group to go camping with or do a lot of this stuff with by that time

The new job has been hit and miss these past few weeks for cash. I'm on track to be making double my base expenses this month and if all goes as they say I'll be making crazy money in the summer (up to 8k a month after taxes) and if oil picks up I can get an out of town job making tons of $$$ too.

I left my part-time job because I had no free time and I kept missing a bunch of shifts. It also lead to me eating out tons, so there goes ~500-700 a month. Going to try and get a side hustle going so I can earn with my sporadic schedule.

Might not be saving much money for the next few months. I'm hopefully moving to a new place in a better location with my buddy (couple hundred extra a month), have to buy house stuff (just got a $700 pots/pans set for $200 on sale), damage deposit, have to switch over insurance ($200 for an inspection then insurance costs), new work boots/gear ($300+) and am debating a year membership with this gym thats $10 a month.

I've got a good line on food deals, Target's closing down and will have crazy deals for the next month or two and hopefully I can pick up some discount necessities. Other stores are trying to compete as well. One thing I don't have a good knowledge of is clothing deals.

As I said before I'll be getting into a gym membership. I'm on my feet all day, but will be hitting cardio hard -- need to look into a cardio training plan, and will be doing a 5x5. Its been cold as a witch's tit in a brass bra here lately so fuck doing outdoor activities. Gonna count cals and play around with a good level and hope to trim down as I avoid 90% of eating out. I picked up a few cooking resources and will be trying to learn some more about the basics.

Saving 24 grand in 1 year starting with pretty much no income might have been a bit ambitious, but I am still on track for my stability/congruency goal. I will be able to save the $$$ if I work hard and get a raise as well as not buying too much extra stuff. I've been moving every 6 months for the past 6 years so more than anything I want a place of my own so I can focus on longer term goals. I'm frugal but I'm not cheap, part of the congruency goal is presenting an outward image of how I perceive myself, well dressed, clean place with a good view/logistics, nice-ish car etc. These next few months will get me that and then I'll move forward from there.

How're you guys doing on the goals front?

Things You Will Accomplish in 2015

I'm a little late to this thread but better now that never, some things I want to accomplish are the following:

- do better in school. I've been slacking off for the past 2 years of college for seemingly no reason at all.

- consistent workout regimen. I always start working out and then take a month break for no reason.

- lead a healthier lifestyle. All I currently do is sit my ass in bed all day without any extra curricular activities whatsoever.

I've noticed a lot of guys on the forum wish to speak Spanish at a conversational level, well if you need any help let me know (Spanish is my first language)

We are already in February but I'll post here nevertheless.
  1. Read at least fifty books on various themes;
  2. Travel to every European country I haven't been to;
  3. Go to the Dominican Republic to visit my family since I haven't visited them in over two years;
  4. Start writing a novel which I've discarded on many occasions;
  5. Drop to fifteen percent body fat [currently at seventeen percent];
  6. Become acquainted with people who contribute to me in some way [I plan on using my girlfriend for this since her family is quite wealthy].
I am currently analysing whether obtaining or a doctorate would be recommendable. It would allow me to obtain a position in academia but I'm not sure I want to do that. Furthermore, I might leave the UK in this year or the next but I am still researching where I should move or whether I should wait, naturalise and then leave.

Oh yes, I'm so privileged you literally can't even.
Interested in joining the FFL? I tried (and failed).

Things You Will Accomplish in 2015

I'm late in posting this, but I know what I want to accomplish for at least the first 6-9 months of the year. I may revise or add to these goals in 6 months, hopefully after achieving a few of them.

Here are my things to accomplish:

1) Get Back into Shape, and Lose 30+ Pounds
I want to get back to the strength levels I had 2 years ago. I want to be able to hit 225lbs on the incline bench, 315 lbs, and do 15 BW pull ups. These aren't amazing numbers, so hopefully I can reach them with a lot of time left in the year, so I can choose a new athletic goal. I also want to get under 200lbs. The last year was awful for me with regards to nutrition and fitness, and I'm currently at 233lbs.

2) Get a New Job in Data Analysis
I hate the field I work in, and I want to get into a growing field where I can learn new things while working. I'll need to master Excel, Access, SQL, as well as other tools, but hopefully I can get a job in this field. I'm sick of my dead end bank job where I learn nothing, get paid peanuts, and can't negotiate since I'm completely replaceable.

3) Get a Second Source of Income
I want to diversify my income sources by getting into copywriting. This is going to be a long, slow process for me, as my first priority for making money is goal #2 above, but by the end of the year I want to have had at least 2 paid jobs for writing copy. I'll spend the first 3 months of the year learning the craft, and the next 3 after that building a spec portfolio and finding clients. I also want to build a significant online presence with a blog. I probably won't monetize the blog, but use it as a hub to showcase my skills, and help me indirectly.

4)Improve my Social Situation
This one's really awkward to talk about. I keep to myself for the most part. I like it that way. Outside of situations like school (classes) and work, where the conduct and conversations are pretty predictable, I'm actually pretty shy. I'm sure low self esteem plays into it, as well as a lack of patience on my part. I want to fix both of those. I want to be able to approach people and have conversations with ease, and eventually be able to do that with very attractive women with ease. I also want to do a better job of keeping in touch with people, and making quality friends. For the first goal, I'll just have to approach people more, for the second, I just need add value to peoples lives.

I look forward to following up on this thread with updates on my progress.

-Do my first muscle up by July
-Have some sort of passive income even if its $200 a month by July
-Get my knee recovered so I can play soccer again (may need another surgery..)
-Earning $1000 month online by the end of the year
-1000 juggles with a soccer ball by end of January (PB: 732)

While these goals might seem few or easy to some people, for the past 2 months its all I have ever wanted and its becoming an obsession. I have traveled to 19 countries and all I want to do is get back to traveling but the next time will be when I can actually support myself and travel. In these last two months I have learnt website making skills, basic SEO, basic copywriting, got an app developed and created a blog. If I can achieve a passive income by July this year it will really blow my mind. There is a good chance I will fail miserably as half the time I don't know what I am doing, but I am going to at least try..

I originally had more goals but honestly if I failed all my goals except the making money online I would be fucking happy.

Btw Alchemist is my favourite book. I just bought it again after leaving my first copy on a plane 6 months ago.

I got up to 1000 juggles twice before. Took me about 2 weeks of juggling the ball everyday for about an hour. Haha Goodluck

Quoting my original list with status in bold below and anything that doesn't have a status update has had minimal or no progress:

* Take 1-2 classes to expand my artistic knowledge/skill (likely photo/guitar)
* Fix 2 items on my car - Fixed 1 item but I'm not counting it as it's a new issue. Car has developed 2 issues which should be fairly simple to address, so I'm bumping this to fixing 3 issues.
* Modify my garage to fit my gear - In progress, I've got it arranged so I can get the car and space on one side of the car. Probably 15% done.
* Fix up road bike.
* Drop 20 to 25 pounds and have recognizable pecs and abs.
* Complete Freedive Course to become a safer diver - Completed my course and got the highest passing grade possible. In addition I far surpassed any static breath hold (on the surface not moving) I'd previously measured by 250% and reached a new maximum freedive depth which surpassed my previous best by 150% and this is all with being in worse shape and experience than with my prior bests. Very happy with my experience/results, especially as I'll now be by far a safer and better diver.
* Compete in 4 spearfishing competitions and place in the top 5 in at least one - I've placed in the top 5 of one competition and have completed 2. I'm counting the top 5 finish as a technicality as there was a pretty low turnout but I am going to count it as it was in very challenging conditions, especially for my experience level. I was also very close to placing even higher. Still have 2 competitions to go.
* Become a dive club member - I've completed roughly 85% of my requirements.
* Stack cash for a fuck you fund of 6-9 months living expenses - I need to use some financial resources to analyze what my true living expenses are. I'm going to say with reasonable confidence that I have 5 months living expenses set aside so far but will be setting a more accurate number to base this off of.
* Read 20 new books - Am in the process of completing one new book. Need to outline a book a month to check out of the library as well as any books I've got laying around that I meant to read that will flesh out the list.
* Get rid of cable tv, replace with useful/usable/cheap alternatives - Have researched alternatives but have not settled on a solution. I have another goal that is not listed here which this sort of depends on so this goal really is to complete that and then cut the cord.
* 50+ % of meals and snacks prepared at home.
* Complete minimalism in the home. Own nothing that I haven't used in 1 year (that's not records, important mementos, etc...).
* Research and hire a cleaning service.
* Replace refrigerator and dish washer with more efficient models.
* Fully secure my data (encrypted backups both current and online).

It's taken 3 months, but here we go:
1. Increase bench press to 275 lbs. Habits: Already consistently lifting...consistent 5,3,1 workouts
2. Bang 6 more chics at least solid 6 (already got an 8, 7, and 6 in 2015, so this would give me 9 total in 2015). Habits: Approach, escalate, IDGAF attitude.
3. Conversational Spanish (not sure on 'accomplishment' here)
4̶.̶ ̶F̶i̶n̶i̶s̶h̶ ̶D̶u̶o̶l̶i̶n̶g̶o̶ ̶S̶p̶a̶n̶i̶s̶h̶.̶ ̶H̶a̶b̶i̶t̶:̶ ̶1̶5̶7̶ ̶l̶e̶f̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶f̶i̶n̶i̶s̶h̶ ̶@̶ ̶1̶5̶ ̶m̶i̶n̶ ̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶=̶ ̶2̶ ̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶d̶a̶y̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶~̶1̶0̶ ̶m̶i̶n̶ ̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶d̶a̶y̶.̶ Edited: I can finish Duolingo before end of year.

Self-insight accomplishment:
4. Get a new job. This is actually something I really really need to do, but I have a feeling of helplessness here, certainly relative to the stuff above. Just me being honest. I don't know why I have that feeling, I just do.

8. Stop taking ambien to sleep.
9. Have two newly fucked latinas lay on my chest in Barranquilla CO, naked, with sweat dripping off their ass crack, calling me Papi, while I smoke a cigar.

Very true here too. I like the idea of themed work/goals using a daily system that works toward a vision. Mine for the remaining of 2015:
  • Save 12x annual expenses by December.
  • Build 20lbs of muscle by end of December. Aim for gaining a little over 2lbs a month. My body composition is pretty good, but could always be better too and part of this is finding out what macros to hit.
  • Improve my game by having 2 plates by December. I ended a relationship with a 9 back in January and realized that I had let myself stagnate socially our fourth year together. The good is that I ended a relationship I didn't want to continue investing in; the bad is that I have a lot of rebuilding to do.

I just did a personal quarterly review. I believe these are very important to keep yourself on track and to adjust your shortcomings. And of course, to reflect upon the areas you have succeeded in.

I've done well in most areas, but there is still room for improvement.

How are you guys coming along?

Good idea.

my money game is still strong but I'm changing up The order of my goals a bit

#1 priority is dropping the winter weight I packed on. so I'm putting off my cooking goals to some extent. eliminating sugar (aside from a gatorade or red bull at work as I'm on my feet all day). 3 meals a day. nothing processed lots of veggies and water. standard stuff but super strict for a month then Im going to allow 1 cheat meal a week but still have home made foods. could be home baked cookies. mac and cheese. curry. As long as it's relatively unprocessed. I'll be hitting a 5x5 to get my strength back. aiming for a full 12 week cycle as well as some moderate cardio endurance training. buying a bike to ride to the grocery store and around As I find I eat a lot when I'm bored especially on my days off.

my other #1 priority is finding a new place to live. I might give notice only once I've found a place. I'll lose my damage deposit but I'll be able to find a quality place. hopefully with non-fucked roommates
