As for the video, there is some reason to believe that the song actually isn't about Naya Rivera. It was apparently written in February, well before they broke up. That could be BS, but it isn't unbelievable.

Even if the song is 9 months old, however, the timing of the release is quite interesting (right after Naya impulsively married her best friend on the same date that she and Big Sean had previously planned to marry on). That probably isn't a coincidence.

In any case, I can see how the video can look a little weak, bitter, or whatever to some, but I don't really find much fault with it. What she went and did was probably worth calling out. Furthermore, he dodged a bullet and actually came out better for it (new relationship is a substantial upgrade in every respect). Gotta respect that too - it isn't like the dude is simmering alone in irrelevance snapping bitterly at a woman who left him and has been doing better. Quite the contrary, he's the one who has been doing better after apparently (we don't know the whole story, just going off what I've seen) getting done a little dirty by this chick who sort of publicly embarrassed him with the impulsive marriage to her best friend (who he probably knew while they were dating) on their scheduled wedding date.

Not gonna knock that - play on, Sean. Play on.

A few things to keep in mind...
She was nothing to nobody before Big Sean was dating her.
The only reason why we even know who she is has to do with Big Sean dating her.
This basic female had zero talent before, during and after she dated him. So she breaks up with him and marries some chump on the same day of her planned marriage with him. Females doing some shady shit is nothing new to us guys here and probably isn't news to Big Sean.
(This is kinda like when you dump an ex and then she goes out and sleeps with a bunch of guys you know thinking it will have some effect on you. Only stupid females think like this.)

So he upgrades into the stratosphere (younger, hotter, tighter and more famous) which helps his career. The ex girl looks all kinds of butt hurt while Big Sean is still getting paid, laid by a 9 and feeling pretty good.

(I know she's on the show Glee. That just makes her interchangeable for a Latina female that they needed to fill their diversity quota)

She is WAY more well-known from Glee than she is from dating Big Sean, who isn't even that popular among rap circles.

But I do agree that he upgraded.

This song is trash though, in my opinion. Sean is really hit or miss, and this is definitely a miss.

Kanye has thrown a ton of money behind him and he's had some great mixtapes and features, but his albums always leave more to be desired and the numbers reflect that. He has no identity musically and relies too much on features. Dude better get focused and in a hurry as he doesn't have a super hardcore fanbase like a J.Cole and has a tendency to get outshined on his own tracks.
