First things first, I'm not hating. WB WB WB. I respect a good hustle, and I think looking at how and why she is so popular is a good way to understand how to do well on youtube. She is a good case study, as she has deleted none of her old posts, and you can go back 4 years and see her as a 17 year old girl all excited about reaching 1000 subscribers.
She has almost 800k youtube subscribers and 500K facebook likes. Just off ad revenue, she has to have cleared 100K. How did she get there? By itself, her voice rates maybe a 6.5/10, her guitar playing a 6/10, and the combo of the two, since singing and playing is hard, is maybe a 7.5/10. There are thousands of equal or greater talent. But her boobies are the key. A little bit too big and porn star like for my tastes, but no one is perfect. Overall, I would say she is a solid 8 in looks. So, you take the combo score of 7.5/10 on talent and add in an 8/10 in looks, and you get a trifecta score of 9/10 and youtube stardom.
Now, one of the interesting things I noticed from her facebook was the following, on Sep 12th she posted a Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin (cover) youtube on her facebook with a length of 3:53 and got 4,900 likes and 905 shares.
Then, on Oct. 13th she posted a 23 second clip of her solo from the same cover, and she got 9,700 likes and 2,330 shares.
I thought this was very interesting. If I were to do a youtube channel, I would make sure none of the videos were longer than 2 minutes, and that most were 30-60 seconds. That's what people want, they have very very short attention spans.

1. I think for a guy facial symmetry would be more important than just huge muscles, but a combination of the two would be deadly. Like the felon whose mugshot went viral, but ripped.

2. Appearance is very very important. Appealing to both male and female sexual interests is key. Dan Bilzerian and Jess Greenberg together.

3. Neither talent or appearance alone is enough, you need both to have a decent chance of stardom/huge numbers of views and subscribers.

4. Keep it short, the longer the video the less people will watch it, and the less likely they will watch the whole thing.

I also think she is helped greatly by search terms. People searching for Led Zepplin, or Daft Punk, end up with her.
Piggybacking off of pre established notoriety/popularity.
For example, 20% of the traffic for Return of Kings comes from people searching for POF, as an ROK article about POF shows up on the first page of a google search for POF.

I think its a combo of factors.
Some may have better tits or better singing ability or better guitar skills...but she combines all 3 in a way few others do, or at least that I have seen.

Her Highway to Hell video has more than ten million views - tits and rock music is a lot of men's idea of paradise.

As for her skin/appearance. I think she is going to hit the wall like a freight train if she doesn't cut out the tanning shit soon. I don't think she has very good skin, which is why she (very cleverly), has her face washed out by the light in all her videos now to create a generic cartoonish hotness.
