Hand tremors

I've never had the steadiest of hands, but in recent times, I've noticed a tremor in both hands, when I say drink from a cup of coffee or from a glass of beer.
It's not like full on shaking but it's a noticable slight shake, which wasn't really there before (unless I was particularly anxious or low on sleep).
I've recently started doing weights a bit more regularly which means lifting heavier weights, and it seemed to start around the time I began that.
However I've laid off the weights in last few weeks but the shake is still there.
I drink coffee daily but I've been doing this for years and it hasn't caused any tremors, so am not convinced it's that (although it might play some part).
Anyone else experienced anything similar?
If so, how did you combat it?
Wanna nip this thing in the bud, am thinking of going on some l-theanine as I know that's good for giving you a sense of calm, so that might help, but am open to any useful suggestions.
Thanks.

Hand tremors

Hello man I hope I can help. I'm a recently minted physician. It sounds to me that you have something that in the medical world we call "essential tremor". It is usually exacerbated by stimulants like caffeine/tobacco or stress. Have you noticed any improvements in the tremor when you drink alcohol? This cue that favors the diagnosis of essential tremor. Also have you noticed any family members with the same tremor, that also usually favors this diagnosis.

If it doesn't interfere with your life significantly it doesn't need to be treated. If it's really bad however, you might need a drug call propanol. However you should consult your GP or a neurologist to be actually sure if this is the correct diagnosis, and you require treatment.

Greetings from Mexico.
