Where to visit in Poland?
11-14-2014, 10:41 PM
Will be in Germany for a bit over a month for work. After reading a few threads, there's an unanimous agreement that Poland is well worth visiting for gaming, so I've decided to make a trip or two during the weekends. I'll be relying primarily on daygame, nightgame is something I'd rather avoid.
The two cities I'm looking at are Szczecin and Poznan, as they're the closest major cities from my location. Which do you recommend and what are good daygame locations? I know that Szczecin is untapped, any info will be very helpful.
Lastly what is the most effective (time and cost) way to travel to Poland? Any good sites to book cheap train fares?

I'll address you points one by one.
Firstly, don't bother going to Poland for only a weekend if you're only doing day game. You need more time - two weeks uninterrupted at an absolute minimum is what I figure. You are doing yourself a huge disservice by not going for nightgame - there are so many approachable and attractive at night it's insane.
Secondly I can only speak to Poznań, but the only day game spot that you will probably need is the Stary Browar shopping mall downtown, plus the walkway connecting that to the Stary Rynek, or Old Market. Talent level is insanity.
Thirdly if I remember correctly you're in Berlin - my advice is to take a bus instead of train. It's way cheaper and gets you there in a reasonable amount of time.

Nightgame huh, guess I'll have to keep my options open. Btw I read your observations from the journal, and although at this point you haven't gotten the lay, you still seem very optimistic about Poznan. Is the reception to your approaches that good from the locals?
I'm actually based near Dusseldorf, I just plan on visiting Berlin. I know that bus from D-dorf to Poznan is going take much longer than train. As far as train fares are concerned, I know that some sites offfer better deals.

Depends - usually upon how well the girls' English is and if she's open to chilling with a foreigner.

Exactly. I love polish girls, but it comes down basically to that. Whether you find them with night or day game,

That's absolutely true, I second that! Nightgame in Poznan is great. Polish girls are extremely pretty and very much down. I have a FR about Poznan floating aound somewhere, maybe you have read it.
Make sure to check out Cuba Libre, it's the best club I have been to in my entire life in terms of PU (and I have been to many).

When I was in poznan I loved hitting Czekolada. That was by far my favourite club. Honourable mention goes out to Cuba Libre and also that club downstairs at Stary Browrar, I believe it was SQ. I wasn't a big fan of Club 22 or most of the venues at Stary Rynek, but other guys I know did fine there.
Day game worked well inside Story Browrar for me. As well as the busy street Polwiejska. Polish girls in this city are foreigner friendly and mostly college aged. I also would also mention that you could try late night street game around Stary Rynek. I had some success with that.
The city is great, lots of young college aged girls, easy to walk to all the nightlife venues as well as relatively cheap food and lodge prices.

Great feedback guys. I'll stick with Poznan this time since it is proven. Maybe I'll make a trip this weekend.
