Shia LaBeouf just came out and said that he was raped during his #IAmSorry performance art piece 9 months ago.

His statement

Apparently he was so committed to the art piece that he didn't say no, but because he didn't say "yes" it's rape!

Piers Morgan doesn't think so though, on his twitter he dismissed it as a "supposed 'rape' for cheap PR - utterly shameful".

There is even a little "victim-blaming" going on in the Jezebel comment section. I guess only chicks are allowed to make ridiculous claims.

Apparently the guy has gone off the deep-end recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if he made it up. It's be funny if it turned out to be a performance piece about false rape claims.

Of course if it is true I'd feel bad that he was taken advantage of, but I doubt it is.

Hollywood is completely insane. THE craziest chick I banged was the daughter of a famous (although now dead) actor. Inherited a bunch of money, abusive past, total headcase. I literally was afraid, in the John Bobbitt kind of way, around her when she started getting obsessed with me. I think Hollywood just attracts these types of people.

I have no idea what to think and honestly I couldn't care less (or in American English: I could care less).

But indeed, from Yes Means Yes to Rape By Fraud laws, the best way to combat the insanity is not by appeal to logic and reason, but by filing these frivolous but technically correct charges. Men won't do this though, because we can't just throw a girl under the bus for the principle. Even though women don't have the same honor.

It's the same theme here as elsewhere: We don't play dirty against people that do, and thus we lose. You have to be comfortable with getting mud on your hands to win.

I have no idea on this either.

On the one hand, I support men coming forward and speaking when they are sexually assaulted. In some ways, I think men might benefit from a powerful celebrity coming forward to speak on this issue.

On the other hand, if we apply the same scrutiny to his claims we do to female rape claims they quickly fall apart. Why if she left in front of a line of people there to see him and the rumor went through the line did not one person tweet about it? Why didn't he say something at the time? Why was the crime never reported? It falls in the same unverifiable circumstantial area that many false female claims do.

I'll be curious to see how the media treats this. We all know what would happen if a comparable female celebrity claimed she was raped during a performance piece.

Not sure where Mr. Morgan has been, but the sycophants who've been crying false rape for YEARS have already done considerable damage to "real rape victims".

I have a few family members who have been sexually taken advantage of, and seeing people play around with that issue to extort resources from others is deplorable. Guys like Shia help to showcase how ridiculous the dog-and-pony show is by using art to mask the underlying message. Sometimes you have to become the beast you wish to slay.
