D.C. Teacher Arrested for Having Sex With Student Pleads Not Guilty

Why are 22 year olds teaching 17 year olds? What the hell do they have to teach them about?

Yes, that's quite awful isn't it?

A black boy is 17 but is held responsible for everything he does. We can't imagine a white girl of the same age being treated like this. Are they going to send a lynch mob out for him too? Hang him from a tree? That's what those commenters want.

I oppose political correctness of all sorts, but it does need to be recognised that blacks find themselves at the wrong end of peoples prejudices, projections and assumptions very often. Black men are assumed to be incarnations of some sort of rampant Id until proven otherwise.

A lot of teachers are young. For instance, my U.S. History teacher was 23 when I was a junior. Old teachers are getting replaced by younger one.
