do you approach at the gym?

As per the title.

If you do, post your approaches. If you don't, why not?

I opened this cougar last week asking her what she was drinking (had something murky in her bottle) and it transitioned into a 30 minute debate about steroid use and she tried convincing me to take steroids LOL

Personally I think that if you lift heavy when cardio bunnies are around, that itself is a dhv; but it could backfire--they might end up being intimidated? Thoughts?

I've dated a girl from my gym a year ago and when we broke up, it was awkward as fuck. Long story.

I never try to waste time in the gym, and that includes small talk. If my buddies come along I might shoot the shit in between sets but otherwise why bother talking. Bars and nightclubs are better suited to the task anyhow. So no approaches for me.

Usually with the trainers. They are usually the best ones there.

I definitely agree with this.

I have taken a "no-pickup" stance on the gym for a LONG time.

The gym is a temple. When I am in there, I have things to do and then I have to get out...it's like a heist when I'm there. I rarely spend more than an an hour and a half total in the gym.

That being said there are exceptions.

If you are completely done with your workout, have done some stretching and foam rolling, and see a girl bullshitting around, stretching or even better texting on her phone, possibly looking at you, go talk to her. Use daygame basics and stay low key.

If she's in the middle of working out, even if it's just fucking around on the elliptical, don't go for it. Maybe it's just me...but it sends bad vibes in my book. I wouldn't want someone fucking with me while I'm working out. Plus, the girl is in a position of power because you are interrupting her.

I have often wondered about this but like other posters, when I'm at the gym I'm there to hit it hard and then get out, I don't fuck around.

There are a lot of fit girls at my gym who I'd love to have a crack at but it just seems a bit doomed to failure bothering someone during their workout. Particularly girls who generally don't like being seen all hot and sweaty.

I am not sure it's possible not to think about her when you see a hot chick at the gym.

I believe all the guys have a desire to talk to her but choose not to because of other eyes, 'what if I creep her out', 'I don't want to lose my gym' etc.

I see nothing wrong as long as you follow the code of conduct (different social norms depending on different situations and places)

I'm the opposite, when I'm in the flow of a good gym session, my sex drive is switched to standby mode and though I can recognize hot girls, the emotional urge to talk to them is not there.

It's when I'm fucking around jogging or doing elliptical that my mind has time to wander.

This has some advantages though, I usually just introduce myself if we're both regulars and I have zero AA or weirdness.
