What was the timeframe of the bikini bridge meme?

It was made by the world class trolls over at 4chan, starting some pretty professionally looking memes like "where's your bikini bridge" and then showing a really hot chick in a bikini with a bikini bridge.

Operation Bikini /b/ridge
On January 5th, 2014, 4chan members launched “Operation Bikini Bridge,” in which bikini bridge photos were spread to promote the pose as “the next big thing” while simultaneously denouncing the fad as being an “unhealthy obsession” in social media circles centered around subjects like “thin privilege” and “fat shaming” with the hashtag #BikiniBridge2014.

Basically, they come out with a meme and then immediately start a campaign to insult the people spreading the meme as spreading 'thin privilege' because it's like they already accurately predicted the outrage from fatties upon seeing the images.

^^^ that's some world class trolling.

"thin privilege" is just such a crazy idea but SJWs will latch on to almost anything that lets them keep on sitting behind a computer 24-7 and downing Twinkiese and Double Stuffed Oreos to their manatee-sized heart's content..

Typical, a lot of criticism I'm seeing from women involves the "double standard" bit. No matter how much the feminists complain, male virginity generally isn't seen as valuable where as a woman's is. Shoot, half the comments on these articles are along the lines of "I bet these dudes can't get laid".

I love when progressives bitch about "double standards" - really they just want to justify women being pin cushions with no social repercussions.

Lets me honest here: Saying a woman "can't get laid" will never become an insult, and saying a dude is a "slut" will also never be an insult.

Feminists and social-justice advocates will always denounce slut shaming, but shaming a man by saying he is some basement dwelling virgin who "can't get laid" is always a go to insult to defame him. [Image: angel.gif]

Really shows how petty and childish they are. It's hilarious whenever they criticize pick up artists, their first insult is "they can't get laid." Yeah, that will REALLY hurt the feelings of a man who gets sex all the time [Image: huh.gif]

When I defended Roosh on twitter during his Canada ordeal (using logic and facts), they also used this insult as a response. Kind of sad that's all they're capable of.

I thought that was a twitter thing, or is facebook banning profiles that tweet that? Or is it a page supporting nohymendiamond that got banned by itself?

Hate speech, what a subjective and unquantifiable term. It can literally mean anything. That's why the left love it so much.

Yep. And because the left abuse the term, it loses all meaning. Similar to the word rape.

Then real hateful people and real rapists commit crimes, and go unnoticed because the public is desensitized. It's the boy who cried wolf phenomenon.

They've banned any posts talking negatively about muslims or refugees in Europe as well as #GamerGate, #NotYourShield and many other hashtags in the past week for being "hate speech" also.

http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-europe-...KKCN0UW25E
"Facebook Inc (FB.O) began a Europe-wide campaign on Monday to thwart extremist posts on social media, after German politicians in particular raised concerns about a rise in xenophobic comments linked to an influx of refugees.

The U.S.-based group launched its "Initiative for Civil Courage Online" in Berlin, pledging over 1 million euros (1 million pounds) to support non-governmental organisations in their efforts to counter racist and xenophobic posts.

Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg said hate speech "has no place in our society", including in the Internet.

Facebook's ground rules forbid bullying, harassment and threatening language, but critics say it does not enforce them properly.

On Friday, the firm said it had hired a unit of the publisher Bertelsmann to monitor and delete racist posts on its platform in Germany.

In November, prosecutors in Hamburg launched an investigation into Facebook on suspicion of not doing enough to prevent the dissemination of hate speech.

Top German politicians and celebrities have voiced concern about the rise of anti-foreigner comments on Facebook and other social media as the country struggles to cope with a tide of new migrants that amounted to 1.1 million last year alone.

Chancellor Angela Merkel has urged Facebook to do more, and the Justice Ministry set up a task force with Facebook and other social networks and Internet service providers with the aim of identifying criminal posts more quickly and taking them down."

Yeah, Facebook has been mass 'no-platforming' anti-progessive speech for a while.

It's an anti free speech hugbox. Worse, they're sure to be passing on your personal data to western governments.
