As a college kid I would have loved classes and or seminars like this but looking at these stories now about stuff like this or a while back I think it was university of chicago or depaul or something had some class that was basically a live sex show with a guy using a powertool dildo on some chick, not sure if it was for art or sociology or what the deal was but this type of stuff makes college look like a joke which in large part is what it is these days. I feel like schools are doing this stuff sheerly for shock value.

Nah, I would say my generation (I'm 28) doesn't know what to do if they're not being entertained. Hence, colleges and student groups (who are led by people who don't know how to enjoy learning for it's own sake, or personal development for the same reason) have to come up with new ways to entertain themselves and their students. It's like the sociological version of porn. Watch it enough and your expectations change and it makes it hard to function in a world that doesn't comport with your expectations because they're not built on reality.

Any kind of "negotiation" when it comes to sex, is the apex of beta behaviour.

The thing with self-professed "sex geeks" - and there are a few - is that what works for them is achieving niche celebrity status in poly circles, so their weak theories can float on a cloud of social status. A threesome for a guy who is a publicly speaking sex geek will be shutdown by negotiative talks that kill the mood and put everyone in their left brain. Better to make it seem like "not a big deal" - because it isn't - and keep the energy fun.
Talks like this are a way for beta males and r-selected rabbits to keep the party going while avoiding the wrath of feminists. "See! I talked about consent! Consent is sexy!"
Everyone wants to talk about how to have a conversation about consent, but no one wants to talk about what makes a girl say "do anything you want to me."
