Should Players get Manicures and Pedicures

Nothing wrong with it at all.

No different than taking care of your skin.

Just don't get a clear coat on them.

If a guy thinks that having crusty Shrek like feet is 'manly' than he's insecure as fuck.

If it's good enough for Michael Jordan, it's good enough for me.

You can also game the cute asian girls working at the joint.

So if you don't get pedicures then automatically you have Shrek like feet? I personally have clean cut nails and -shocker- never got a manicure or a pedicure. I'm a reader of your blog and you always preach about masculinity, traditional male values, you talk about your heroes like Steve McQueen, James Dean, yet i highly doubt that even a single one of them would agree to be seen getting "his nails done". I understand that for some it's about a relaxing experience, sort of like getting a massage, that's completely fine, but don't make it seem like all men should do it.

That's the sort of argument you could make for anything. I could say: "I like wearing makeup, at the very least it doesn't hurt and if it makes you look good why not." Because you just fucking don't. It's women's job to look 'pretty', placing a lot of attention over small details in your appearance(i.e: how glossy your nails looked today) is effeminate behavior.

Yes, because those are the only two options available, get a pedicure or having Shrek like feet.

Watch a youtube video and learn it yourself.

Women generally have longer nails and can skip a week or two before having them redone.

For men, you'd have to be going in every 2 or 3 days to have them just right, which is too much.

Michael Jordan is a self entitled asshole with no redeeming qualities outside of the court. Why would someone use him as an example of masculinity? Clip your nails and use lotion like every other guy.

Lots of emotional responses for something quite minor. But yet it's unmanly to have a nice asian girl clip your nails and rub your feet?

So if someone doesn't agree with you they're emotional and must be shamed, sure.

If you want to have a manicure/pedicure go ahead, have fun, but don't try to act like you're so special and those who don't are just not "in" on it and don't know any better, like the poor Neanderthals that they are.

Not at all, but there's a difference between disagreeing and getting emotional in a response about a pedicure.

It smacks of bitterness and feminine qualities.

^^^ [Image: lol.gif] exactly my thoughts

How many words does it take in a sentence for emotion to flow out?

Not that many if the writer is emotional and follows that up with similarly structure sentences.

But what you're calling emotional were just other people disagreeing with you, no one was getting "emotional" like you said, but calling them bitter and feminine is ok and manly.

I don't think anyone wants to argue with at this point.

Only reason I'm posting is so you can benefit from the suggestion and others can benefit too from knowing what not to do.

You've been on the forum for a while and got some good reps. Personally, I'd hate to see you go and no disrespect with what I'm about to say.

These have happened:

1. Derailing the thread. (suggest: staying on topic)
2. Calling out respected forum member/s (suggest: PMing them instead of trying to shame in public)----once is ok, but repeatedly is not.
3. Doing #1 and #2 on a pretty non-value added mani/pedi thread is, well, a waste of your own value for something petty (suggest: add some value in other ways)

As I write this, all I can do is feel the presence of Tuthmosis.

I wish you the best of luck.

Edit: Not calling out anyone specific. You know who you are.
