Windows
Using the Snipping Tool you can capture the exact region of the window you wish to capture. Cropping is done real-time as you're specifying the exact area that you want to save.
On Windows 7 the path is Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Snipping Tool
If you're more of a Photoshop guy, though, you can use the Crop Tool.
Select the Crop Tool.
Click and hold the left mouse button while dragging your desired size.
Hit the ENTER key on your keyboard to apply the cropped dimensions.
Save your newly-cropped image and you're all set!
Macintosh
