What is the best country in South America for Teaching English and getting pussy?

As I finalize my trip in Cuba I will be back in the states to finish my year in college all while planning on teaching English in a South American country but I'm not sure where. If anybody has any experience teaching or working in South America and with the women, please feel free to offer some suggestions or advice.

My main motivation though is the women and the cooperativeness of the women, while teaching English to support myself.

Some countries I'm considering are Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Chile, maybe Ecuador or Bolivia. I've been to Argentina already so it doesn't interest me much to go there again.

At first I was hesitant to pick a South American country since I'm tan skinned Latino myself (Mexican American from Chicago) and felt like I would be just another Latino in Latin America, but those hotties are just too hard to pass up.

Thanks in advanced.

Hey man! How's it going? My group has internet at the hotel. I ended up staying at the hotel so we get internet. I know the vast majority of Cubans cannot get it which I find so weird since we get it all the time, almost whenever we want to.

I'm leaving tomorrow back to Chicago.

I have a buddy that did ESL in Santiago, Chile and got paid enough to live alright. Also met a wife during that time.

I've heard the pay in Brazil is horrible. Got a friend that did it in Mexico to and pay sounds pretty shitty there too. It's too bad Latin America doesn't pay like they do in China. Just make sure you have no bills prior to leaving. As my friend who taught in Latin America said, "you can't pay a dollar debt with pesos."

Pay in Mexico is about 8000-10000 pesos a month.

Chile is a little less from what I've seen online. My friend in Mexico and Chile said online postings have shitty salaries and applying in person is a better deal.

Some may offer to pay your ticket back after a certain amount of time. Latin America ain't the ideal place to survive on salary alone, you need some savings.

Midwest having lived in Mexico here is my perspective on that country...

You have mentioned being of Mexican heritage does this include having Mexican citizenship as teaching jobs often go to Mexicans first there over Americans. Its not the best place to make a buck teaching english in Latin America because the visa rules just changed and now for the work visa you have to return to the US. So since many Mexicans living in Mexico spent years in the US before being deported or just returning there you have a larger sector of the population who speaks fluent or near fluent english and since Mexico tries to give jobs to native Mexicans over foreigners getting a good paying job there as an American is not so easy.

I currently teach english in Thailand but having spoken to many english teachers who have taught all over the consensus is Latin America does not have many good paying jobs that can be found easily. To expand on this many guys work for a language institute that might have them work a class in the morning at 9 am another one at 4 pm and one at 8 pm. Or the teacher works for several language institutes and is communiting most the day from school to school to teach a class. Its not an ideal way to make a buck especially since most teachers are often without car and relying on public transportation to get around most of the time.

I have heard the best paying gigs with easiest chance of getting hired are in Colombia and Chile. I have also heard the easiest country to get a job is Costa Rica assuming one can deal with a poor pay to cost of living ratio.

Before moving into this line of work understand the TEFL industry has an undercurrent of racism in hiring practices especially in Asia but somewhat in Latin America as well so people should be aware that ones qualifications and experience may matter less to employers than their presentation so to speak.

That said its a great way to travel and live in countries you desire to live in. I would encourage you to be honest about what you need to make to live in countries you want versus what you make doing a teaching job. For instance the pay is higher in Thailand than Mexico to teach english but the cost of living is also lower than Mexico.

Keep the forum posted on your progress and good luck in whatever country you end up in.

Hey sorry for the late reply. I'm an American of Mexican descent so no Mexican citizenship. Mexico will be awesome cause I go a lot already but I haven't stayed there more than a month so it would be interesting.

Damn, I didn't realize it was that racist in the TEFL world. I mean Asia was a second to Latin America as a destination that I wanted to work in but the girls in Latin America are just too sexy to pass up. Im a Mexican with black hair and brown eyes with a light tan skin complexion, kind of like Oscar de La Hoya or George Clooney, around that skin complexion. Not sure how I will fare in the TEFL world in Asia. Also I haven't really heard anything on how Latinos fare in Asian countries but I would like to find out for myself. I'm not sure yet, I still have some time to decide where I want to go. I want to leave the U.S. that's for sure. Only problem is that i'm a college student and will have debt once I graduate [Image: undecided.gif].

Thanks for the advice and I will sure keep you guys updated.
