Does anyone else find it sad that we may have a Clinton vs. Bush election? Not because of the quality of the candidates (which is less than desirable), but the fact that they are related to previous heads of states. It should really get people second guessing democracy although we know that will never happen.

My preferred candidate for 2016 will be Rand Paul. He is not perfect by any means, but in my opinion he is by far the best candidate not just for his political views, but because to me he is not a cookie cutter, corrupt politician. He is a man of principles, value and integrity unlike most presidents in recent decades. It is likely that the media will somehow portray him as a racist, nutjob and cream their panties over Hillary.

Also, what's up with this "Ready for Hillary" bullshit? I mean really! People are already abandoning Barack Obama for Hillary who they believe will somehow be the savior of the country, despite the fact that her and Obama are nearly identical.

Hillary doesn't have a chance. She's chronically unlikeable, uncharismatic, and worn out. She's the favorite until she gets up against guys who are young, energetic, and charismatic.

A lot of people try to say that Obama won the nomination because he was black. That's a gross oversimplification. Obama won the nomination because he was everything Hillary wasn't: young, likeable, and energetic. They saw him as someone they'd want to sit down and drink a beer with. They saw Hillary as the HR director or boss lecturing you about something you said.

I'm gonna echo this. The republican party is irrelevant at this point. Their supporters are finally cottoning onto the fact that they're essentially no different from the democrats at this point. That said, as far as the politics goes, I'm going to go with a counter-intuitive approach. As a neo-reactionary/someone on the far right, I want Hillary to win in 2016. I want a homosexual or some other freak to win in 2024. I want the Democrats to sweep both the House and the Senate also, and get to appoint Supreme Court Judges. Why?

What exactly have the conservatives conserved? Think about it. Gun rights might be the only issue. The rest of the culture has gone to shit and so has the economy, especially the national debt. At best, conservatives have been enablers, at worst, they've been complicit. For America, and by extension, the West, to reverse the course it is on it needs one of several things to happen, and all of them ugly. I'm talking about full-blown economic collapse, war, etc. or a very near miss. What America needs is shock therapy, not this frog in a pot bullshit that's been happening for decades now. As long as the Republicans exist, they will continue to act as enablers. Whilst we can hope/pretend that young men will, en masse, take up the red pill, the growth of the blue pill on average throughout society is outpacing this and the only real hope is for things to get so bad that people are literally slapped out of their stupor and see what's going on.

As long as the Republicans exist, then any failure of the Democrats can be blamed on the existence of the Republicans and them stopping the Democrats from implementing their "Utopia". All opposition needs to go away from the Democrats and they need to be given a free hand. They need to be able to turn America into Detroit and they need to own that. That needs to occur rapidly, so people can see that and wake up to it. If it takes another generation or two (the frog in a boiling pot scenario), then America is truly beyond hope because the culture will have completely changed. If things come to a head somewhat soon then there might be some hope.

Maybe this sounds like a crazy approach, but frankly, the right almost everywhere across the world have been trying the same approach since the 60s. At best, they've temporarily halted the decline, but the trend has still been in one direction: debasement of both the culture and the economy. Didn't Einstein describe insanity as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?

Agreed. Worse is better, unfortunately. At this point, only violence and war can solve things. This sucks, because war is chaotic and unpredictable, and the outcome uncertain, but it's the only chance for an American revival.

Owning a gun will be a necessity again in America.

The Republican party excludes almost anyone who is not a Christian European and the fact is that the demographics have changed. A lot of Republicans know what the demographic problem is but they are in no way, shape, or form capable of changing their party rhetoric to do anything about this. Bush's response was to go super lenient on latino illegals (to win votes) and it backfired on him big time once the border became a flood of illegals who interpreted that as a get out of jail free card. The other method is to put in minority trojan horse candidates like Bobby Jindal or that black guy who shills for the right..Herman Cain. However guys like this draw suspicion on both sides of the party line and will never win popular support.

The Democrat party will get stronger over time and to be honest both parties are equally bad. They are bad in the same ways so it ultimately doesn't matter which party is in office..they are controlled by the new aristocratic elite who use party platforms to push lobbyists into office who use it to further enrich themselves.

That inequality gap will eventually plunge America into third world style politics where the rich control all politics and enact policies which are just used to deeply root their multi-generational family dynasties. The U.S. is almost there but just wait until the middle class is so crushed that people's living standards are severely impacted too. That's when the real discontent and decline will begin.

I dont think Hillary will run. She has been thru this already with her and Bill, and will be a 68 year old bag in 2016. She wants it, but I think she accepts that it will not happen. Without her, the Democrats have no one with a name. Cuomo and Warren are the top picks, but I think Cuomo is too Italian to be accepted by the voters.

The Republicans have a stronger field than its made out to be. The same people who said the Democrats would win 70 Senate seats in 2010 are now saying the Republicans have no hope. Many voters are starting to learn that moderate stiffs like McCain and Romney cant win. Christie is too fat to be president, and he likes being governor. Jeb Bush is a good contender. Huckabee could try. Cruz is too off the handle and not a natural born citizen. I like him, but he says stupid shit. Rubio could build himself up. There has to be a decent lesser known governor somewhere. And finally, Rand Paul would win 4 of the first 5 states and is the only one with broad appeal. Republicans will vote for him no matter what, and he appeals to many on the left. Everyone thinks he cant beat Hillary, but young, upstart senators have thrashed her before.

IMO, Hillary will be very tough to beat. She is a disaster, but so was Obama in 2012. But she, like Obama, will have...

- The main stream media in her back pocket. Covering only stories that make her look good, and bury any story that makes her look bad. The main stream media spent more time in just 10 days covering the "bridge gate" story in New Jersey than the VA disaster. The main stream media has largely not covered Benghazi or the IRS disaster.

- The amount of women out there who literally live off the govt. has exploded under Obama. All you men here who work in a job in the USA are having part of your income being stolen to pay for women who sit on their asses and do nothing. And these women will come out in droves and vote in Hillary to keep this happening for them.

If Obama could do that badly his first four years, and have Benghazi happen right in the middle of his campaign and still win. I don't see how Hillary can be beaten.

But this whole economy is about to collapse. Not Mad Max style, but like Greece. Obama has simply wasted WAY too much money. He has pushed the Debt to GDP ratio beyond any way to recover. We will never recover from Obama's waste. Hillary will be a continuation of this wasteful spending and idiotic ideas. A lot of "experts" said UKIP and Front National could never win...they both won.

A lot of "experts" said Reagan's policies were stupid and that the Soviet Union would never buckle under pressure. They were wrong. Whether it was Reagan's policies, oil prices, or a combination of the two, the fact is, the experts were still wrong.

A lot of "experts" said Rand Paul would lose in his primary and then when he won that, they said, he would get trounced in the general election. They were wrong. He is now a US Senator.

Maybe they will. But these RVF political experts are simply repeating what they've been told to think. It's a psychological tactic to demoralize you're opposition.

While I agree that Republican (establishment) politicians have been dreadful, it is precisely because they buck the ideas and platform of their supporters, who, have grown somewhat aware of this bait and switch.


Personally, I don't think Rand will win. The kitchen sink will be thrown to make sure of it. And while he won in Kentucky, a national election is more difficult considering face to face campaigning is less important and the media's ability to shape the narrative and spin the issues, still has some power, even though this ability has been declining.

I recognize that Rand, or even some obscure Democrat may win though. In the European elections that UKIP recently won, the 30 days leading up to the election saw every major newspaper run negative stories every day, and every television station was highly critical of UKIP. Yet, their support grew.

We are entering into Black Swan territory and the RVF "experts" are charlatans. You are viewing history as linear rather than cyclical.

Sure, the Republican party is basically the white party and white people are a lower percentage of the population. But as politics become more identity driven and less ideologically based whites may flock to the Republican party in droves, outnumbering the gain Democrats pick up from recent immigrants who tend to vote for who their told to vote for.

Another factor Republicans have going for them is that democrat voters might simply stay home. This happened in France, when Front National won. The Socialists simply stayed home. Obamacare, is unpopular, the economy could tank even worse, and the currency could undergo serious deflation or inflation.


In Summary:
For those "experts" on the thread who have made proclamations of "This person can't win" or "The Democrats will win and the Republican Party is finished" you may be correct. But then again, you may not be.
