Visa on Chinese Passport

Does anyone have any idea, or know of any English language resources, to determine which countries are likely to grant a Chinese passport holder a tourist visa (30 days is plenty, even 15 days) outside of Asia. Caribbean, or even better Europe. South America, Africa wouldn't be that helpful, nor would Russia or Central Asia, or Oceania. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi Chaos, actually already checked out the wiki threads. I was more interested in practical knowledge of which countries are more likely to grant a visa. My friend just got nagged by the USA consulate, and so investigating other options. Chinese must get a visa in most countries, I want to know which ones are likely to grant it, not which require it and which don't.

Hey Global, I do have some practical experience, as many of my friends and classmates have applied for Visas on their Chinese passports. If the US Consulate flags the passport, it's a good bet getting a Canadian Visa will be difficult too.
However, French tourist Visas are quite easy to obtain, because the obscene amounts of money Chinese travelers spend on luxury goods and hotels helps keep their economy afloat.

If France doesn't work, try Italy/Spain, or a smaller EU country, such as Malta.

Clever Alias is right, if your friend is flagged for security/political reasons, it's going to be a lot trickier without some solid connections at the embassies, which I'm assuming he doesn't have since he's asked you for help. If it's not something that serious, France is seriously a good bet.

Actually, its a she, and she wasn't flagged for any other reason than the USA routinely turns down younger chinese tourists who don't have a lot of money and are seen as risks to stay in the US beyond their tourist visa. I knew it would be difficult for her, but hoped that she might sneak through. Sometimes its just as simple as getting the wrong examiner - the one she had in Guangzhou "failed" everyone while she was waiting in line.
A bit of digging has uncovered that apparently Italy is very lenient with Chinese, I'll check out the links for France as well.

I think the real question is whether or not she has agreed to taking a shot at joining the mile high club together when the two of you take off for the foreign vacation somewhere better than Africa.
