Sent you a PM, Rubin. I'll pass through Moscow this month.

A question to the old Russian hands: could you give a bit of advice for making friends and creating a social circle in Russia, especially in the smaller cities?

I think my time in Spb and Moscow is mostly over, I like the province much more. The girls are sweeter. But it gets lonely here in the winter when there's almost nothing going on. I speak Russian quite well and I talk with people in the gym, in shops, hostels, cafes. It's easy to make acquaintances, but most Russians don't seem to have much in the way of hobbies or social activities. They sit at home or walk in the mall. Definitely nothing that would help you much in meeting interesting guy friends or cute girls.

Summer is of course easier when more people are outside. Although last summer was a bit of a miss for me, since it was fairly cold and miserable the places I stayed. A few good friends would help buffer against the quiet times.

Obviously I'd also love to make friends with the old and new Russian hands themselves, so PM me if you feel like sharing experiences or meeting.

Just got back from Novosibirsk. I'm not saying it's a poosy paradise, but you can definitely find chaste, good girls there. Head to Academgorodok (about 20 miles south) if you want a modern university vibe - the place feels like an ivy league campus. I guess Putin is dumping tons of money into it, and he's doing a damn good job.

Just one catch - you need to speak intermediate Russian. Novosibirsk is not Moscow or SPB where people speak a little English, it's Siberia. If you show up expecting to Google translate your way into some panties, good luck to you.

Thank you for sharing your experience in Siberia. I find your comment valuable.

In your opinion, is it realistic to expect to meet in these towns in the depths of Russia:

- young girls (maximum 24-25)
- who are virgins
- from non-divorced families
- who are not overtly materialistic/have ridiculous expectations
- who think their happiness/purpose in life is to start a family, and be a wife/mother. Not to be a career woman, not to 'get life experiences' and settle down when she's 30.

Every day I grow more convinced I need to invest serious time, to learn the Russian language.

Yes.
- who are virgins
Not in the age above.
From non-divorced families
I have a friend, his name is Rosstat. He told me that divorce rate is over 70%, so chances that shes from divorce family are high.
- who are not overtly materialistic/have ridiculous expectations
For many Russian girls SPECIALLY if she is from "towns in the depths of Russia" to have materialistic expectations is not ridiculous at all. It's surviving. In fact they are dreaming of a wealthy (or at least not poor) man from the city to come and finally marry them. If he is from Moscow or St.Pet it's even better. On the other hand, modern city girls who work for corporations/institutions/federal government they dont have this expectations and seem to be more independent (financially speaking), thus they can marry a guy who is not rich. Zolotodigging is however still present even if she lives in the city but is still poor or jobless. It's quite logic, I dont blame them at all.
- who think their happiness/purpose in life is to start a family,
This thinking is still present in the brain of most Russian girls and women, and also in many Russian men's muzg (as long as he is blue pill) for that matter.

and be a wife/mother.
Yep, still present in the brain of most Russian girls and women.

Not to be a career woman, not to 'get life experiences' and settle down when she's 30.
If they dont live in the big cities, it is possible to find such an единоро́г. As soon as she puts her feet in the big city, well then she might get 'life experiences' one way or another.

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention the part about Novosibirsk being the land of hopeful young mothers, whose hymens are protected by the walls of their father's homes and whose hypergamy is mitigated by traditions instilled by their submissive mothers and community at large.

And don't forget about practicing some Russian

Planning a Transiberian trip for 2020...still trying to decide whether it'll be more fun to do it in Winter or during the Summer. On one hand, when you think of Siberia, it's snow and the freezing cold weather that comes to mind first...but on the other hand, in summer it'll be more fun to get off in the cities during the ride, spend 1-2 nights in each, maybe take a dip in Lake Baikal.

Lots of potential routes too...Considering a possible path north to Yakutia too. This is a great book (The Trans Siberian handbook by Bryn Thomas) with literally every little detail you might need to know in case anyone is flirting with the idea of a Transiberia/Mongolian train trip one day.

In winter you can be more flexible changing your itinerary because fewer travelers.

In summer it's not unusual to have tickets sold out.

It's not even debatable topic. Choose May or September, stay 30 days in Russia, enjoy warm and blooming spring or foliage and end up to Beijing when it's not yet/anymore too hot. From those two, summer. Definitely not winter unless you enjoy -30 in Siberia when no one is out.

Guys I'm planning a trip to Kaliningrad. I want to visit one more Russian city before I head over to Belgrade in May.

The only requirement is good enough nightlife Thursday to Saturday and enough girls on tinder with at least some English proficiency. What are my options beside Moscow/Peter which I've already visited and don't wanna go again? I'm thinking Nizhny Novgorod or Yekaterinburg maybe.

Good nightlife on Thursdays off Moscow/Peter easy in many Russian cities.
Girls on tinder with at least some English proficiency off Moscow/Peter possible in many Russian cities.
Now, good nightlife on Thursdays and tinder gels with at least some English proficiency in the same city off Moscow/Peter sounds a bit trickier to get.
Yekat is bigger than Nizhny. So, by numbers it would speak for Yekat.

Hi Guys, question about pipelining in Russia. I'm going to be living in Saint Petersburg from May through September of this year and studying Russian at the local universities and then maybe go over to Kiev after for 1 month.

So it's 2 months until i'll arrive in Saint Petersburg, and such a small number of girls (less than 10%) there speak fluent English, so I was told i'm going to have to pipeline online a lot (since the vast majority of girls i'll try to day game won't speak english)

For St. Petersburg/Russia if I start pipelining now and just exchanging whatsapps, is it too early? i usually just get whatsapps and don't message girls till i'm close to being in the city, or just say hi, and don't message again till i'm there...i let them see my Status updates on Whatsapp and Instagram to build some value...that's it...

The reason i'm asking is that in Brazil for example, pipelining for even more than a few days is useless, the girls are so in the moment they will have no interest once you arrive, it's almost a negative...you have to get the number and message that day... In Colombia as well more than 2 weeks is useless, the numbers will go to waste,

any advice on this and other general methods of things in Saint Petersburg: getting the dates, dating, and getting bangs is much appreciated. I've lived in Los Angeles and dated Russian girls before so I know it's going to take actual dating and a few dates, i got a really nice place and amazing logistics so that should help.

I'll be living in Nevsky prospekt, on Rubenstein st. and studying at the main university, SPBU, if anyone wants to meet up just PM me, ill be there in about 6 weeks.

thanks for your help!

FSU girls have much longer attention spans than LatAm girls. LatAm have to be the worst. As you said, you really have to meet them ASAP.

With Russian girls I think it depends where they are on the thot scale. The more fashionista/thot the more likely they will be to flake.

My thing is if you are looking for a serious girl abroad then don't talk with them for more than one month. For non-serrious one or two weeks is good.

There's a site called Interpals that is good for Russia and virtually all the girls will speak English and are looking to talk with a foreigner. It's meant to be for finding someone to practice language with; but it's by and large an international dating site. Set your town to Skant P when you arrive, for now keep it as your city; and install the Android app I mentioned in the above thread. This regularly logs you into the site, which leads to more people viewing your profile and more messages. Then you can filter. If I have that app installed I get several messages per day, mainly from Asians and North Africans, but a lot of FSU girls too. And a lot are good looking and easy to talk to. By far the best site I've ever used. It's for more academic and serious girls, so they have good attention spans.

I lived three years in Russia, including around 7 months in Saint Petersburg (Piter, no one there says Saint Petersburg). My experience is that dating in Russia is very similar as dating elsewhere, people keep going on about the 3 date rule, yes, but there are exceptions, many exceptions. Girls in Piter are much more open to ONS, FWB and so on than girls in other parts of the country, one of the reasons for this is because in Piter there're many girls from other cities in Russia, they move to Piter and voila: no one knows them and they bang quicker.

I can confirm what many others have said previously: girls, in most cases, expect a gentleman: open the door, buy them roses, pay for them (Always gotta pay for them), be nice, be polite BUT be assertive and take the initiative. If a guy is not what they understand of being a man, they will dislike it. Soft men, guys with no balls, no good for Russian girls. Just like that.

You're saying you don't speak Russian, this is a problem, yes, you can bang the English speakers, and there are plenty of them in the city center mostly, but as you said, it'll be something like 10% or perhaps 20% of the total chicks. Also, you'll be exposing yourself to possible scams (Easier to avoid if you speak Russian) and your life will be just tougher. I suggest you start learning the basics, even just being able to hold a very simple conversation will make a difference.

Location: Rubenstein st? Awesome, right next to Nevsky, lots of restaurants, bars, stores, supermarkets, subway stations, malls, The Hermitage is like 10 minutes walking from there etc Girls will like that and this is something that will facilitate you bring girls home. Just on Rubenstein street there are some good bars and cafes. I used to live very near there and when girls would ask me where I lived and I said the name of the street that was a big help. Piter is a big city and while the city center is amazing, the suburbs are nothing special and the city is quite spread out. No one wants to go to the suburbs to date someone (I did that a few times but that's just me Lol).

Pipelining: When I moved to Russia in 2013, dating apps where popular but not as much as they are now. I did pipeline, mostly on Badoo if I remember correctly. How long in advance? a few weeks I think, out of all the leads I think I only converted to bangs just one girl, who became my girlfriend for a few months -When I first moved to Russia I didn't move to Piter first, I moved to another city, then I moved to Piter from this other city and I don't think I pipelined. I'd say for pipelining, a few weeks is more than enough. I think 2 months is definitely too long, unless you're looking for someone who you really wanna be with, in that case, building a strong connection will be helpful. You say you've dated Russian girls before, then you know feelings and emotions are everything.

There're many other forum members who have spent time in Piter or are living there at the moment, they can provide more info but I think you're going to have the time of your life, have fun!!

Uber/ Yandex/ Gett:
Can I use my international Uber app (downloaded in Asia) in Moscow and Piter? I know Uber merged with Yandex but I couldn't find this info anywhere.
Also, if my hotel is somewhat central, how much is the average fare just for getting around the main areas/ tourist sites? E.g. when I was in London I stayed on the southbank and usually paid around GBP 8-9 to get to most tourist sites. In Lisbon it was around EUR 4-6.

Is there a lot of surge pricing and traffic jams? Just trying to gauge how central my accommodation needs to be. I'm mostly looking at being a tourist (gaming only if free time/ will play with Tinder but won't choose hotel based on logistics only).

There are like 20-25 active girls on Tinder in Sochi and maybe 50 in Rostov on Don and Nizhiny.

Is Tinder not popular in this Tier-II Russia?

I'm reconsidering my plans to hit up these cities. I'll be there for 3 days each which may be on weekdays so a non existent nightlife, no pipeline through Tinder and I can't see how can I pull from there without any Russian language skills.

Maybe I'll do Moscow, Peter again alongwith Kaliningrad. Which is the cheaper route as there are direct flight connections.

Mamba is much more popular than Tinder, try Badoo too. Between Mamba and Badoo you should have plenty of girls to pipeline in any mid-sized city in Russia. Mamba is the most popular dating app in Russia.
I know nothing about Kaliningrad, Moscow has much better nightlife than Piter in my opinion.
