Just had a recent trip to the west coast visited Santa Monica, Hermosa Beach, and Venice Beach. Only stayed a few days but thought I would share my experiences.
Santa Monica: I went down to the Huntley Hotel as instructed by a few of the posts. The Penthouse Bar atop the hotel is a very swanky place as most people said. The crowd is the affluent after work crowd of Los Angeles. Didn't see a whole of talent but could see the weekend potential here.
I checked the Bungalows at the Fairmont as well but it was closed.
Not much going on in Santa Monica on Monday but could see the potential here on a good Friday or Saturday weekend.
The next night we went to a few happy hours and then proceeded to Hermosa Beach Sharkeez. This place was not bad on a Tuesday night had some great drink specials and the crowd was pretty lively once again for a Tuesday night.
The girls here are probably more of the 20s beach California crowd here so no turbo hotties or milfs here if that's what you're looking for. The place turns into small dance floor late at night.
I was not expecting too much out of this trip simply because we were going early in the week . The only thing that kind of hit was a set of girls we met at a happy hour but there already had plans for the night.
Few observations though about beach coast of Cali.
1) Logistics: Absolute nightmare here, the clubs and bars are all spread out so bouncing venues would be damn near impossible without getting into cars and just a pain in general with traffic, lights and no directions. I would highly recommend getting a hotel near the places you think you will be doing most of your nightlife activities.
2) Daygame: I think I saw few rants here about day game on the beaches. I think I read some posts some said it would be difficult to day game at places like beach. I think it would be too as most of the women here just come to relax on the beach and don't want to be bothered. Unfortunately the beach had the highest concentration of hot girls within a few square miles. If I lived here this would probably be my main method of attack of going to the beach and day gaming.
3) Girls: I did see quite a few girls here Cali that were pretty solid very thin and good looking, much better than the trash I would see on the east coast. A lot of the girls also were from Europe, Australia, or Brazil. It was a little inconsistent in terms of the looks but definitely saw some lookers. There is a huge contingency of Latin and Asian women in Cali, you see quite a few mixes that would not see anywhere in the world either. I did quite well with these women as they seem more friendly to Asian guys. Honestly If I lived in Cali I could probably build a huge harem of women but that's nor here or there.
Final Thoughts: Don't come to the beach coast of California expecting a poosy paradise just enjoy the beaches and if you snag a few, just icing on the cake.
