Miami- golf / tennis advice

I may lay down in sobe for a few weeks feb-march.

amazingly chasing skirt is not my top priority. im just looking to escape my snow filled city and work on my golf/tennis games or both (hate how country clubish that sounds)

anyway, any nearby golf clubs or ranges to sobe? to play n practice
tennis clubs?
will i need a car for my stay ?
thanks ahead

you wont need a car to get around south beach but if you want to leave that general area you will need one. there's one golf course on the north west side of south beach, up around 25th st i believe, but i have no idea if its public or private. south beach is only about 2 square miles so its not a place where you'd find much golfing. not sure on tennis, i'd imagine they have some public tennis courts in the area.

For Golf on South Beach, there is one public course - Miami Beach Golf Club. It's pricy this time of year, probably around $125-150 a round, but it's a fun layout and a great location more or less in the heart of Miami beach. A taxi there from most SoBe hotels would be around 15 bucks.

The best public course around is Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. It is really difficult but definitely worth it. It's a muni course too and cheaper than Miami Beach CC.
