New York City vs. Miami - Which is the better summer option?

I say consider Los Angeles or San Diego- the bitch shields aren't as bad as Miamis. If you want the connections the Bay Area or Seattle.

Between Miami and NYC in the Summer I'd go Miami- exhaust fumes versus beach and sunshine. NYC will have more diversity of talent but can you go to a tropical beach and dance all night in NY?

Another idea is to go to Eastern Europe- it will be cheaper and the girls will look better. iOS Greece is a party island, Hvar, Bucharest, Odessa, Riga, the list is endless...

I admit my bias to the West coast and EE. I'd say try EE- Bucharest has a lot of talent.

I would do LA/SD, but I'm already moving out that way in August or September. I've thought Europe too, but my parents and family would freak shit if I went. Plus, I don't think it would be smart for a fresh out of high school 19 year old to do it alone. It's still something to consider though.

Take the dive bro. We are here to answer/help you with anything. If you have the opportunity to go to Europe now and being 'alone' is the only thing holding you back then go.

Montreal in the summer!!! The american dollar street.ches your fun that much more. You can legally drink at 18 and rentals will be much more cheaper than the other 2. Since you want NYC or MIA. Well, if u want tropical beaches per se and a warm ocean to kick back then miami. Nightlife all around will be good. New York,if you want to visit museums or hang in other cool boroughs. OR,,,,,,,

Skip all that and go someplace in the Caribbean (Cancun, DR, Cuba if u can).

If I decide to go to NYC, I'll be closer to Montreal and could possibly head up there on the weekends. I hear Cuba isn't the best place for Americans.

If I was 19 again..I would say fuck NYC and Miami...for now at least. Being an underage black male in NYC will limit your options for night life etc. For miami it would probably be worst if u want to explore due to the fact public transportation isnt nearly as good and most rental car places wont even talk to you if your under 21. Now if u just planned to stay in south beach the whole time the logistics are manageable but as many have stated its a limited area even worst being underage.

What I would do is roll to south america.. I know you could speak spanish all day in parts of Miami and Nyc but it will likely be much slang and spanglish which is not what u want to learn and the immersion factor isnt as high. Also u stated u were looking to party and u wont have any problems finding that in costa rica even if u dont drink its nice having access to more places. My second pick would be Montreal as others have stated.

My 2 pesos.

I think it'll be a better fit for me. It seems the people there share mostly the same mindset as I do. The weather's awesome and it's close to a lot of cities that interest me.

Make sure you read through The Los Angeles thread. I lived about 34 out of my 37 years in L.A. I definitely think it's one of the tougher dating markets in the country for many reasons. Early last calls, meh nightlife, worse logistics imaginable, very high level of competition as tons of guys work out, have game, have great jobs and make a lot of money, shitty ratios, notoriously flakey girls. If getting laid is your main concern, NYC will beat the shit out of L.A. If making money is your main concert, ditto.

Really, the only advantage L.A. has is the weather and geography is great. And it's generally a tolerant, live and let live sort of place when it comes to social attitudes. Don't get me wrong, I like L.A. but just know what to expect.

Thanks bro, right now making money is my main concern. I'm trying to make sure I have a good bank roll. Any yeah, I heard the logistics are awful due to traffic and everything being spread out.

Since I'm 19 I'll mostly be doing day game. Would that be a problem out there?

Devon,

I'll get to your PM in the next day.

But listen man. You're 19. I think the most important thing you need to do is to find a social circle around your age. Game as many of us think about it is a necessity to access large pools of women because that natural social circle easily found in your teens devolves considerably in your twenties, thirties and beyond.

Teenagers have been hooking up with each other since the beginning of time and will continue to do so forever. Join in.

Well for starters, kudos that you have even discovered this forum at 19. I wasn't doing jack shit at that age worth mentioning. The fact that you are even here puts you way ahead of most men.

In my opinion dude, just bounce and go abroad. Fuck going to L.A. or Miami. If you have to teach English in Brazil or Czech Republic for a few years while doing your web dev on the side, I'd just do that. It will be a much richer experience. At 19, I didn't have any sort of international mindset at all. Didn't even leave the country for the first time until 25 I think it was.

Considering getting out of the USA for awhile.

Thanks man, I actually started learning this stuff when I was 16. It's always weird to see guys much older than me making the mistakes that I've learn to avoid.

Yeah, I agree about going abroad. If I decide to go to college I was planning on going to Sweden. However, I don't think I could teach English though. Plus, I hate teaching anyway.

I would say if you're a black guy who doesn't "act black," New York would probably be your best bet. I think it would be a disadvantage in Miami. People in Miami are really into the hip hop culture, where as New York you have all types of different people.
