Man....in the Dominican Republic, mainly Sosua, the mayor started their efforts in early December 2010. Reports are:

1) Girls cannot walk alone in this designated area where many of the bars and clubs are.
2) Girls have to pretty much walk a beeline from the taxi to the nightclub
3) If a girl cannot produce some sort of work ID....into the police car you go.

Ok, but what about guys like me? Lotharios who travel to exotic countries to sexually exploit local adult women from 18-30 years of age? Aren't we sex tourists too? Will this eventually be an issue? I am not talking about hookers now, just guys who prey on the insecurities and low self-esteem of adult, non-pro women in exotic countries.

This seems to be targeting sex tourists who are exploiting kids. Nothing wrong with cracking down on that.

Mixx,

I don't think that's sex tourism. That's just gaming.

I agree. This happened in Thailand too, when I was there the news were full of some pedophiles arrested. Locals say there are also some scams involved which involve underage girls - the legal age of consent is 15 there, but if money is involved, it is 18. The DOB on Thai ID is Thai (this year is 2554; add 543) which makes it quite hard for a drunk tourist to calculate the age. Then he is paying some large bribes to get off hook. Beware.

China is in the mid of one huge anti prostitution crackdown as well. Even my favorite massage palor that offers side services if you pay extra has had to redo all the windows into larger sizes with more transparent glass and a bunch of other requirements.

And one are the glory days of Mayflower in Dongguan, where literally it was the fishbowl with 300+ models to drink with KTV with and play interesting games with sex dice, "where is your wife," and where pretty intense lapdances were common occurrences, and take them home if you want to pay to play. Fun places to waste a night on a rich friend's dime.

But like everything else, the sex tourists will just find another country. This stuff wont end, as long as there is a demand, there will be a supply.

Some of you might enjoy this book. It's where the term "alpha" and "beta" comes from. And accordingly, the lowest class is "epsilon minus".
