Last time I checked, this forum was created as a way for like minded men to help each other shorten their learning curves based on personal experiences.

Mixx and some other guys here helped me out with some information on living in Colombia, after I had already lived in another South American country and traveled in a couple more. I appreciate their help.

Now I myself have lived in Cali for 5 months.

When I got there, my Spanish was weak, I didn't know anybody and I didn't have a huge income.

I started in a dorm at a local university; early in month 2, I moved into a shiny new, 1 bedroom apartment in a middle class neighborhood near that university. The apartment was monthly and didn't require a lease or paper work.

The dorm was $100 a month and the apartment was $450 a month.

When I first came there, I sexed a couple fly girls, but things weren't always as easy as they would have been for me in the States, only because I had to learn the language and culture. Mixx actually met one of the girls I had sexed and gotten into a "misunderstanding" with, after the fact. We bumped into her working in her mall hair salon; him and I shared a little laugh after the akward conversation, I still didn't speak spanish too well yet at that time.

However, the point of this post is that my living situation was NEVER AN ISSUE WITH THE GIRLS!

Female visitors weren't allowed in that dorm, so I took these early chicks to a 25 peso love motel close by, some even on the first date. They weren't models, but they were above average girls.

Did it take a certain finesse? Yes. Impossible? Hardly.

By the time I was leaving (and several girls later), I had a decent grip on spanish and a social circle filled with people Im glad to know. I had also 3 ongoing, concurrent sexual relationships.

GF #1 was a model chick who lived in the same building as me. She had a rich fiance in the States who paid all her expenses (DUMB); she preferred to just have sex and stay indoors when together, so as not to get caught. That means I wasnt spending shit.

GF # 2 was another model chick who lived in a slightly nicer barrio close by. A jaw dropper who could also wax Gabriel Garcia. She also was with a novio wealthier than me, a Colombian cat working the "export business" out off Buenaventura, if you know what I mean. All of our quality time took place in my living room and bed room. No money spent.

GF# 3 was a cute college chick who lived in la zona cafeteria. We used to take weekend bus trips back and forth to link up and enjoy eachother. A few pesos spent.

I manged all of this in a living situation that cost $450 a month.
Pay $1000 a month if you can and want to.

where/how did you find the one bedroom apartment?

this would be more ideal. like i said im not really trying to drop a G on living arrangements. much rather spend that money on going out and traveling around colombia.

Some of these posts leave you with a lot more questions than answers don't they.

I'd be interesting in knowing the barrio of the apartment and some pics of the girls he was banging before I decided having a very nice pad is not all that important.

After living off and on in Cali for 14 years...I can tell you from experience that banging rich colombianos girlfriends can quickly lead to security issues. Aside from having a nice place to take women you'll most likely want a place that has armed guards 24/7.

Security can also come in very handy when you are dating a number of women at the same time because the guards will call up to your apartment before they let anyone in and if you are with another chick you can tell them to say you are not home.

I don't think 7's and 8's would mine getting banged in this place.

I met one of the girls he was banging, and he showed me pictures of and they were no Natalia Paris, or Studio F billboard model type girls, but they were definitely above average. Kind of like the picture you recently posted Cali-pro.

I don't recall Nacirema targeting the rich stuck-up "estrato 6" supermodel girls you will find in Granada or spending her Colombian Druglord boyfriends money in Chippichappe. Nacirema targeted the working class girls, and university girls, and shopping mall hired guns who are used to moving around in stratus 3 neighborhoods, which is where he was staying. I visited the apt., it was OK if you are into the working class pretty girls, but definitely not supermodels. I think he moved around well for his very first time in Colombia.

I do not remember the name of the neighborhood, but it definitely seemed to be a stratus 3/4 barrio.

pppffff....This kind of stories and the things Mixx already told in various posts are crazy to hear. I know it happens everywhere in the world, but i understand you have to be careful with a Colombiana. I thought the latin girls were more reliable, but seems to be the opposite.

I met this colombiana in London and spend some nights with her. I told her i wanted to stay single at the time. She lives in Swiss with her BF. He paid for her silicon tits and they traveled through south america (paid by him of course)
I still have contact with the girl and she says she wants to come to the netherlands and see me etcetc...

I will hit colombia in may for 3 months...but this kind of stories remind me to watch out with the colombianas.

Here is a link of to my girlfriend on Lindapop.

http://lindapop.com/nenas/tatiana-gomez/

I hate promoting their website because the photo shoot went way over the number of pics they were supposted to take and they didn't pay anything extra.

Almost all of the girls on the site are from Cali....who knows maybe you can even find one you like Mixx. jajaja

I've seen you mention the stratus neighbourhoods quite a bit, is this something that is commonly known there? i.e they will advertise it as a stratus 4 neighbourhood?

Any breakdown on the general costs of these different stratos?

I thought the latin girls were more reliable, but seems to be the opposite.

All women will cheat. I've been with enough women from dozens of cultures and races and financial means to know this now.

Regardless of race, given the right set of circumstances and events, even a submissive Japanese girl will cheat. Colombianas are famous for looking for the easy life, and having her way with other side-fucks as she tip-toes around and fucks what she can without getting caught by her lover or her peers. Now, there are those EXTREMELY rare cases where they are loyal, and faithful and make excellent wives. In the 20+ years I have travelled to Latin America, I have not met one Colombian girl who is beautiful and under 40 that is faithful, but I'm sure they exist...someplace deep, buried in the jungle.

Usually the beautiful girls will be faithful to a man so long as she is getting everything she demands from the relationship for the time being. i.e clothes, nice apt. travel to exotic places, parties every weekend, misc $$$ for personal expenses, a social circle to brag about to her GF about what you give her, and a beta to be an emotional tampon to her cries when she gets her period every month and cannot make it to a finca for the 3 day weekend ahead. That is, until, a French-accent speaking tourist comes along with a fake Panerai watch, and a rental in a stratus 6 neighborhood and an eye on your prize. Count the days you have exclusivity to that hot piece of Colombian tail.

You may find plenty that are ugly and faithful, but the beautiful and voluptuous ones are 99.9999 unfaithful if they are given the chance to get away with it, and the idea of not getting caught excites them.

If my post came off as bragging, that wasn't the intent at all.

I wanted to let people know that there are other options that work as well. I would hate to see anybody be discouraged from making a trip to a place that I love, because he thought he needed to have an over-priced crib to enjoy himself there.

When we talk about the ability of a guy to get good looking girls in any given place, what we are really talking about is respect. Thats what it all comes down to. If the female doesn't respect you, there will be no female sexual attraction for a male. She may fuck the guy, but she won't be doing it for the sex.

If a girl respects you, she is yours to lose. If she doesn't respect you, she is already lost.

Saying that one has to have have a crib in Granada to get respect in Cali is like saying one has to have a crib in the Upper East Side of Manhattan to get respect in New York City; it just doesn't jive with reality.

I live in NYC, one of the most expensive cities in the world; I still pay less than $1000 dollars a month rent for my living situation and I still get with above average girls. Would I like something better? Hell yea, thats why I am planning, studying and working hard in the meantime to make that happen. I'm still going to do me regardless.

And by all means, having a hot crib can help...but it's not necessary or a pre-requisite.

The guy who owns this forum has some interesting things to say about this as well:

http://www.rooshv.com/turning-lifestyle-...o-strength

As does the G Manifesto:

http://www.thegmanifesto.com/2010/03/pla...ml#content
http://www.thegmanifesto.com/2010/03/pla...ml#content

I'm also tired of seeing businesses in Latin America that cater to North American/European foreigners and mark up the prices over what a local would pay. Where there is demand, there is supply and I respect that. But I reserve my right to tell it how it is.

@ Dash Global, I found my apartment right here: http://clasificados.elpais.com.co/listad...a_raiz.php

Knowing Spanish or a local can help you a long way with this.

PM me if anything, maybe I can point you in a more specific direction for what you are looking to do.

@ Cali Pro, as far as the neighborhood...Los Cambulos by Palmetto.

As far as the security, the building had an electric fence, cameras, a front gate and 24 hour security at the desk. I wouldn't recommend anybody visiting Colombia to pull a local girl into an affair if they don't think they can properly handle the relationship and own up to the possible consequences.

As far as the girls I was with when I was in there...I'm not posting anyones picture on a public internet forum.

You heard it from Mixx himself that I was getting with nice looking chicks when he met me. He met me when I had just moved into that apartment from the dorms. I was still new to the country, didn't fully get the culture and barely conversational in Spanish.

All things being equal, simple reasoning by any guy who has experience with this would say I was probably getting better quality women by the time I spoke better Spanish and had a group of local friends.

Your girl is cute, as are the other chicks on that website.

Barrio San Antonio is generally a cool place fellas. It has kind of an artsy feel to it. I remember some good times up there.

And that price is definitly competitive, considering the place has furniture.

I am interested in this apartment opportunity for 700k pesos/mo. Do you have photos of it? I usually go to Medellin when i'm in colombia, headed to bogota in a few weeks. I may stay "in country" for a while if everything goes well. I'd be interested in hearing more about it and seeing pix
