This thread has been an awesome read. I was sent to Shenzhen for 6 months solo for work and had quite the time. I was new to China and had so many ups and downs but it was 100% worth it. I lived next to V Bar in Nanshan and was going there every second weeknight. On Fridays and Saturdays I'd go to Cocopark and sometimes end up in Luohu or Shekou, usually Richbaby or The Terrace. At one stage I had two girlfriends and was still pulling one night stands. Coming from the west it's almost a paradise for women but not quite like shooting fish in a barrel, there were definitely nights that I struck out. It's a weird place and you meet weird chicks there, I dated a smoking hot girl with serious T&A who was effectively homeless and living in a spa, she spoke perfect English. Another time I pulled a girl from a 24 hour KFC at 6am in Nanshan after drinking all night in Louhu, the next morning I found out she wasn't even out the night before and was there getting breakfast. After a few months the Shenzhen craziness got inside me and I started doing stuff I'd never do at home; I was banging an older divorced chick for a while, she wasn't very hot but had a body like an 18 year old and the tightest pussy ever, after a while we gave up on condoms and I used to finish inside of her. Months later I got tested and thankfully showed up clean and I never heard from her after I left. Another time I was banging a married chick who I met in Vbar, she wore her ring proudly but still came to my apartment to fuck when her husband was out of town. This was stupid, risky shit that you need to avoid if you ever get there. I let the place get the best of me and was lucky to leave the city intact. There are plenty of very sketchy people in Shenzhen and it's far from unheard of for foreigners to turn up dead in a river after "falling in" Keep to yourself and take precautions and you'll be fine but get carried away!
Some of my thoughts on venues mentioned in the thread:
Viva and Cocopark in general sucks without a big group. The only place I had success going solo there was the club halfway between McCawleys and the main Viva bar area where all the staff wear military uniforms. That's where I met the hot homeless chick. Saying that the outside area in Viva is awesome on a summer night with a big group and bottles on the table.
Swimming Pools, the Venice hotel has a very nice swimming pool and I used to brazenly just walk in and use it. One time (out of maybe 20) a manager asked for my room number and I answered him in French, he persisted in English, I huffed in broken French and just left, that was it. Every other time the staff would bring me towels and everything. You can also walk straight from the pool to V Bar.
Mix C is the best mall for talent spotting in Shenzhen, I spent hours sitting in the starbucks there just admiring the talent. I also like the Teppenyaki place in the food court on the top floor for a bite to eat with a beer.
