How do YOU decide where to travel?

Quote:Quote:

My favourite memories of Korea, Taiwan and Thailand are genuinely the 'everyday ones', I.e:

- The freezing cold sight of the Seoul skyline on New Year's Day
- The glowing red lights that shine through a Taipei City rainstorm
- Being invited for beers with a bunch Taiwanese gangsters
- Whizzing around on a motorcycle in Bangkok the low evening sun

If someone offered me the chance to live in the Philippines for a year VS an extensive year-long trip around North and South America I'd jump at the former.

But maybe that's just me. Just do what you enjoy. Maybe it's
COMPLETE opposite to what I like. If it is, do that! :-)

Yeah man, everyone has different interests. And I agree with you almost completely, fuck vacations. Lol, if I'm going somewhere, I'm going to live out my life day to day like I do back home except with the ability to see a bunch of cool stuff and meet new people. I've never been the type to sit on a beach, I'd rather go explore. As for me being able to work in other countries... I can't get the CELTA until I'm 21 so unless I do a job for Pizza Pizza or CDA running phones as a CSR I think I'd be SOL.

Although making 13 or 14 bucks an hour in an impoverished country sitting on your ass seems pretty good to me. For those who have never heard about these kinda jobs all you need is a USB headset and skype, maybe the easiest location independent job out there?

Yeah, I would never base my travels around women. I'm not on the quest for a "poosy paradise."

MONEY>BITCHES but

EXPERIENCE>MONEY ?

ie less is sometimes more, take less money to be in a place you'll enjoy more

Okay I've heard the term pipelining numerous times but don't know what it means. Does it just mean you have a steady flow of women you can tap into or what lol

Yep, pretty much. Not sure where it comes from exactly, but before I heard it in player circles I heard it in business/freelance circles. As in putting in that marketing time and filling up your pipeline so that you had work on tap. Then years later saw it emerging in the manosphere referring to bznitches.

And that my friends is deductive reasoning! Well I'm gonna have to do some business pipelining when I go abroad.

If/When I decide to look for opportunities internationally, do you think it would be smarter/easier to find teaching gigs rather than work as an electrician? I like the money in Alberta but I wouldn't mind taking the winters off to work in another country

How do YOU decide where to travel?

This is how I will decide once I have good enough online income:

1. Do I want to go there?
2. Do I like the type of girls (looks) there?
3. Can I afford the plane ticket?

To me it means getting on an online dating site prior to your trip so that you have some dates and number lined up as you arrive.

Since I'm a short term visitor (can't afford to take too much time off work):

- Decent nightlife options
- Reported ease of ONS
- Attractive women
- At least a couple of interesting things to do besides women
- Not outrageously expensive (e.g., Oslo)
- Somehow easy to get to

I'm pretty sure Rome isn't a very easy place to pick up girls. Not without some serious investment in Italian and spending a good chunk of time there.

If meeting girls is one of your higher priorities then maybe have a rethink on this one!

I'm not going to pick up women haha, I'm going to meet family and see the coliseum!

Banging an italian broad would be nice but I'm not going to base my excursions solely around getting laid

That's wise, there's more to life than girls.

That being said, I start getting pretty frustrated if I go more than two weeks without a little action. And I like to spend extended periods overseas!

How do YOU decide where to travel?

I'm a slow traveler (3-18 months per city); this is my breakdown in descending order of importance, and of course my percentages are a rather rough, personal prioritization as well as demonstrable proof that i can add to 100:

1) 40% cost of living vs. ability to earn. Ability to earn isn't necessarily based on local earning power- more like (.1 local earning power + .9 internet reliability, goddamn you Philippines.) Bonus to local earning power if the market is pro-English teaching or poker playing, both of which I am above average at (ended sentence with preposition, irony noted.) If you're not making more than you spend, then you're selling your future short unless you're on some kind of pension. Be smart and don't let pussy-chasing turn you into an old man eating cat food someday. Then again, maybe you like cat food, I'm not here to judge

2) 20% ass, let's not even get into the quality vs quantity debate, that's a chicken vs egg issue, let your conscience be your guide

3) 15% food (1/2 food culture + 1/2 ability to cook quality food at home) slow cookers, fresh herbs, olive oil, cheese and lime juice equalize this, otherwise it would be more like 80/20 in favor of food culture).

3) 15% weather, and most of this is a "is it warm vs how many fucking mosquitos are there" issue. I'm from the American South, making me kind of a weather pussy unless it's 90+ with high humidity, in which case I can sweat it out with any bitch

4) 10% general cultural mores/intangibles : I'm not in the States anymore, so I expect incompetence, but i want that to be offset by the fact that my white skin has extra value. Are the people happy and generally cool? Do people actually get killed there, for real? Are the cops bearable? What's the cockblock culture? Does the bitch have my money?

Yeah man imagine how I feel! I'm 18 I've just been introduced to pussy! It's still an untapped resource like renewable energy to me, I've got to taste some exotic flavours soon.

But as for meeting people my cousin (good looking female) lives there and I'm sure she has a few local hotties she can introduce me to. I speak an intermediate level of french and watched every season of the sopranos... So I basically speak fluent Italian. Not to mention all the times I've stayed up till 2AM watching TLN, wish me luck!
