I think most guys fall into this category.

Someone told me that while I was still into the dark skinned girls, and I didn't believe them. It definitely turned out true for me. Although, a little dark skinned girl is good for some dirty fun once in a while.

I was in Bkk from January-August last year, and now I'm back again for the same period. Doing semesters at Kasetsart.

Sounds legit, we were up beside the stage where all the celebrities would walk out and get the crowd amped up.

even light skinned girls are not hard to find or get, they will still be from isan but just not as tanned. Hi-society girls, well thats another matter.

I've hooked up with a lot of lighter skin girls, mostly ones whose families are from Bangkok. When I was in udon Thani though, a lot of those girls were lighter skinned as well. Maybe combining the lighter skin and the isaan personality is the best of.both worlds? Thai version of lady in the streets and a freak in the sheets lol?

Yeah, north-eastern girls get a bad rep because of the farmer in bikini types that a lot of westerners have as girl friends. There's plenty of light skinned girls in the north-east, and lots of middle class girls that you could take out in polite company in BKK. In general they aren't as pretty as northern girls though.

I've only spent time in Korat and Khon Kaen, and while I wouldn't choose to live in either (I like Bangkok too much), they are definitely overlooked. If a young westerner were to set up there he could easily have his pick of the litter, especially with good Thai.

Guys is there any items or products I can bring to Bkk I can sell and at least offset a few months of rent? Not that im on some shoe string backpackers budget or anything. I read people have brought some iphones and apparently they go for a lot more in Thailand. People were profiting enough to live for a few months. Some girl told me before how cosmetics in Thailand were like 3X as much as they cost on North America. Any ideas?

I have a lot more money than I did last time I came and also instead of being an idiot and living in a hotel for months on end I am planning on renting a place for 10-12k a month and will attempt to live on $1500 a month.

My trip length is to be determined as of now, I just know the last few times I've come back to "reality" its been a miserable, bitter affair. So offsetting some spending for a few months would be prime.

iphones are a good shout, esp if you can prove you have the receipt. If you want to go for big returns, just buy 3-4 iphones. Perhaps cheaper if you get them at duty free.

They are small and easy to carry, just put them as carry on luggage though, just incase ya bag goes missing!

A farang thanks a lot. Will 3-4 be ok for customs to see or do you think they will suspect I'm trying to import them?

Speaking of white skinned girls, I've been hearing that the best and most beautiful girls of the country are in Chiang Mai. Can any of you guys who have been or even better, lived in CM chip on the girls their, looks wise and attitude wise?

I never got checked, do you know any thai girls? if you do get your bags next (I never had that happen been there over 6+ times), tell them they are for your Thai girlfriend and her family, just tell one of them before you land the score.

But yeah you wont have many problems selling it.Use Thai craigslist, to advertise them, as alot of fake iphones are selling on their, id show a picture of your receipt too

I stayed 3 days in Chiang Mai and didn't really leave 'old city'.

Honestly, I didn't notice much difference in quality. In Bangkok you will walk past 20 stunners browsing through Terminal 21. Chiang Mai has a much smaller population, therefore a smaller amount of attractive girls.

Chaing Mai is worth checking out but I wouldn't expect a significant increase in quality opposed to BKK

The best girls in CM will be at places like Warm Up and Monkey Club on Nimmanhamen. You definitely won't see them in the old city. That's the tourist/backpacker area.

Honestly, I can't remember enough to compare how much better or worse they are as when I stayed in CM it was my first time in Thailand, and didn't really know what the fuck was going on.

Yep, my main regret is not discovering more of CM. I just didn't enjoy it as much as BKK (and I had a nice 8 waiting for me) so I caught a bus back at the first opportunity.

Chang Mai blew bkk out of the water for me in terms of what I was after which was same night lays. Bkk was OK for that but were like 90% shores. CM for me was more like 60%.

I stayed away from the Thai clubs as I don't think much dudes especially white dudes will be pulling from them. They also suck shit in general in my opinion.

I was there a month and stuck to Zoe in yellow and surrounding bars as well as spicy when that failed and I had in general a great time.

I banged 14 chicks the month I was there. 3 of which were the hottest I had in Asia.

In the bars and clubs mentioned expect a good portion of pros but on certain days of the week e.g. you will find a solid mix of normal girls who are highly likely to have a preference or be at least curious about farangs.

The main con in CM is the lack of online girls compared with bkk. It's still easy enough but you might find yourself running a bit thin on options after a month.

Another thing that was brilliant was how cheap it was. Being able to go out with 300 Baht and get reasonably pissed puts me in a good mood.

Old City is not representative of Chiang Mai quality in any way, shape, or form. Staying there also makes the city seem much, much smaller than it actually is...It's like Khao San in BKK, Old Quarter in Hanoi, Pub Street in Siem Reap, or Riverside in Phnom Penh. Disneyland for old expats and backpackers who want to hang out with people just like themselves.

And 3 days...? Not to harp on you too much, but it's never enough to get an accurate sense of a place's potential. Just for a dash of perspective, would you take anything seriously that a guy said about BKK who had only been there for 3 days and never left Khao San Road area?

Chiang Mai especially seems to take some time to get to know. I remember for the first two weeks looking around wondering what the big deal was, and for the years that I lived there all other tourists passing through briefly like that seemed to be scratching their heads in the same manner.

All that said, VP, there will be higher quality women available to you in Bangkok. It's an international city with international dating habits. In Chiang Mai, there is a very substantial local stigma about mainstream, quality women being seen with foreigners. The city is only so big and women with options have a reputation to uphold. And they are well aware that Lanna beauties are the most esteemed women of the region.

If you do go to CM, I recommend posting up in beer gardens that have the girls in beer and whiskey dresses walking around filling glasses. To be found in nice restaurants and in the shopping centers. Flirt, go for number, hit up later and invite to disco. By disco, I do not mean the bars and clubs located in the center! lol

This will be your best, quickest odds for getting in with a hot local who isn't an Old Center skeeze (though the nature of her work means she gets hit on a ton and may have been passed around by quite a few Thais). These girls often are some of the best-looking around and since they (kind of) work in a bar, they are a bit more liberated.

If you have game and patience and don't mind an even smaller city with a limited (but not nonexistent) club scene, locate yourself in Chiang Rai, Phayao, or Lampang (all places touted as having the hottest women in Thailand, depending on which Thai man you ask). Same look to the girls and same overall feel but not quite as stuck up as some of the Chiang Mai girls. And you'll have more of an exotic appeal in these places. Then again, they're even smaller cities so if you want to run through numbers, they may not be your best bet for long-term fun.

These are great places if you're down with a long-term girlfriend and want to access the best-looking possible broad that you can.

For the majority of posters, Bangkok will indeed be the ideal spot.

I moved apartment and now live ten minutes from the BTS

Went for a walk around the backstreets this afternoon:

Walked past a group of school girls and they shouted "ooOOOOOOOoooo!"

Then two women on a motorcyle taxi went past and shouted "handsum"

Then some women outside the 7-11 said hello

And finally a toothless old man waved at me

I'm gonna go for more random walks around the backstreets, got eye-fucked to hell! This stuff never happened in Taiwan or Korea!

Must be bloody amazing being the only white guy in some random village. Gonna visit Hua Hin or something soon

Toothless old man for the makeout. 1000+ points.

haha Just giving you shit. A lot of expats down that way but based on what I've read (never been) I think the city could have a lot of potential. Maybe even a decent candidate for a meetup.

You're correct for picking me up on this, Hua Hin is hardly a random village with no white guys.

But yeah, they're hardly going to be competition are they? [Image: biggrin.gif]

Yep. Also, most guys I've talked to who've been down there don't seem to have gone far past the red light district. I'm sure there are some very decent discos to infiltrate. Could be interesting.

I was in BKK for Songkran last year. Pretty crazy but I wouldn't do it again.
Went on different days to Siam square, Silom and Khao San Road. Also went to Route one evening
It's an interesting experience and a lot of fun but it's insanely crowded everywhere. And that stuff they keep putting on your face is disgusting.

This was in Silom, people as far as the eyes could see:

Also regarding the Chiang Mai discussion. I stayed there for about a week but I really liked it, I plan to come back and stay for a few months. Also seemed to be the perfect place to hit on tourists, I got my russian flag while my buddy got his chinese one.
We went to Warm Up which I liked the most, Infinity, Fabrique and a coupe of others I don't remember the name of. Also the famed Spicy club.
I found the local girls in Chiang Mai much more shy and reserved than the ones in BKK. But that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Also one of my girls from BKK took me to Hua Hin for a few days but I didn't like it that much.

Thong lo - Ekkamai should be good.

Yes for muay thai you can just turn up, they will have gear their for you. If you are unskilled or require someone who speaks a bit of English it may be better to call/email one of the gyms before hand.

Exactly. Go to the countries where the girl types you like are "low value" in their respective social rankings.

If you like tanned girls seems its real easy to clean up in any Asian country. Particularly in Thailand and Bangkok.

If you like pale asian girls, seems like you are gonna have to work for it. Although looks like you can try and mix it with a "pale Issan" girl, who still has low status, but fits your preference.

Too bad blonde girls are high status pretty much anywhere in the world. At least in Poland, they are just normal, which is why its my next travel destination

Hey Rio, have you been surfing RVF on girl's laptops and forgetting to log out? I met up with a girl from TF yesterday, woke up in her apartment after she'd left for work, decided to check the forum before leaving this morning, and was greeted by this:
