Perez Hilton runs a Hollywood gossip site. His whole deal is he trashes celebs. As a gay male, he's the equivalent of one of those snarky bitches that do the same thing. For his site to compete, he has to be as controversial as possible. That's what his readers expect from him. I don't see how this is worse than anything else he's done. Creating hate is probably more profitable to him than anything else.
