Backpacking through Europe, need some advice.

This summer I will be going to Europe for a few months, now I'm fairly young for this forum at 18, but I still want this to be a good learning opportunity and have fun. I'm flying into Warsaw but will be visiting Bulgaria and moving onto Belgium to see Tomorrowland. How could I use this to the best of my ability?

The good news is I think you can drink worry-free at 18 all over Europe! [Image: banana.gif]

For me part of the allure of Europe is the whole train travel thing but I think in EE it's not quite such a fun and efficient experience. Can you maybe take a train from somewhere to Belgium on your way back from Bulgaria?

It's your first trip to Europe so I would not worry about 'conquering' the continent but just have fun - will be a new experience for you so take it all in and enjoy. Maybe hit the beaches of Bulgaria where a lot of Russians visit every Summer (Sunny Beach, Burgos, etc.) and even take a side trip to Istanbul if you can swing it? So many Poland threads on the forum so check them out and read up to get prepared.

Tomorrowland tickets usually sell out pretty rapid, might be a bit easier next year due to it being on for 2 weekends. Ebay is another option if you can't get hold of one but they can go for 3-4 times the face value.

I'm going to hope I get lucky when buying tickets then.

I will be staying in Poland most of the time and I'm fluent which makes things alot easier. I definitely will be taking a train from Poland to Bulgaria cause it's the fastest way.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't drop hundreds on a highly commercial megafestival like that. If you like dance music you have so many options in Europe. There are countless summer festivals with decent lineups, better weather and considerably smaller pricetags. And of course there is always Ibiza and excellent clubs in most major cities too.

Enjoy your trip!

You're 18 dude. Stay up all night. Fuck a fattie if you have to. Spend time wherever you find fun. Don't listen to other backpackers. Have no destination in mind. Talk to everyone. Miss flights. Book flights at the airport. Take the train. Take the bus. Hitchhike. Get lost. Take pictures and write it down.
