The Perfect V Neck...suggestions?

I remember I was originally anti-v-neck. They seemed to be a quintessentially gay t-shirt. I mean, why would a t-shirt have a v taper anyway? It's not a button-down, so it's a superfluous feature.

Hell, girls would complain about guys who wore v's to me.

Then once I realized I was fit enough to pull it off I started wearing them. I liked it.

One of the girls who had put them down previously suddenly loved it. I asked her: what's up, I thought you hated them. She's like - oh I just hate the guys who wear really deep v's. Oh ok.

Whatever. Rule number 1 - never listen to what girls say.

I started wearing them because I wanted a little more breathing room. I hate how tight and restrictive crew necks are. And yeah fuck what a chick says.

"...it's the quiet cool...it's for someone who's been through the struggle and come out on the other side smelling like money and pussy."

I'm surprised no one mentioned Old Navy. Half the time they are buy one get one free so they each cost around 5 bucks. They fit me great and aren't too deep. I probably have around 10 of them in my closet in various colors.

She got pumped and dumped by players in v necks, simple as that.

I used to be all about American Apparel V-necks, I have the organic cotton which is high quality and the fit is nice and compliments my physique... But... I have come to the conclusion that the V is a bit too deep, and I'm not feeling it anymore. I know fuck what other people say, and admittedly I don't live in an area with a very "fashion concious" crowd, but whenever I'd wear those V-necks I'd inevitably get comments from someone (friends, acquaintances, random dudes and chicks) that my shirt looked kind of "metro sexual" or gay.

The more I thought about it, and having since tried the V-necks on again and looking at myself in the mirror I kind of agree. I still like V-necks, but don't really want to rock anything with too deep of a V. When I see guys at the bar with super deep Vs they usually are gay or look really gay, and I don't want to be associated with that.

I have probably 15 different Uniqlo v-necks in different colors. At $5.90 apiece, they're cost effective and fit better than most other brands.

I'm tall and sort of narrow. Wide v-necks don't fit right. I'm going to try the gap one though. Haven't tried that store in years. Kohls actually has a decent line of stuff from Marc Anthony. Slim fit shirts. This V-neck fits my body really well. I could see how it would look "dorky" on a shorter or wider chested guy.

Uniqlo Premium Cotton v's fit great: $9.90
Their "packaged" tees aren't bad either, and for $5.90 you can't beat the price. I just ordered a batch, some of the cheaper ones were not fully consistent in size though, but great bang for buck overall. Best I've tried so far, waaaaay better than AA and H&M.

Calvin Klein stretch is perfect for you. I'm tall and thin also and it has just enough stretch to conform w/o looking too tight

Here is my suggestion for all clothes --

Buy it, wear it, and see how many girls look at you when walking around. Do the same for t-shirts.

Eventually everything you own will be proven and you'll get pissed off whenever a company changes their cuts.

Armani Exchange makes good vnecks....a little pricey though.

Are people really rocking target vnecks? Well afterall, it's not the vneck that makes the man, it's the man wearing it that makes the man...

+2 on Armani Exchange, they've got a classy looking fit. Not throwaway cheap though.
