Erasmus Parties

This issue deserves its own thread.

For those of who are not aware of it: Erasmus is a student exchange programme funded by the European Union. Participating countries are all EU members plus Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Turkey. The film "L'Auberge Espanol" is sort of a European version of "American Pie" that depicts in a not completely unrealistic fashion this sort of party semester lifestyle.

You can find Erasmus students in almost every university town in Europe with countries like Spain, Italy, UK, France and Germany being the most popular destinations. Major cities like Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, London or Rome have of course the largest and most diverse crowds.

I recommend to sign up for university newsletters or subscribe to event calendars in your respective European town and look out for Erasmus parties. These events mostly take place at the beginning and the end of a semester, and are designed to welcome or say goodbye to the incoming students but practically everyone can go there. E.g. In Germany, winter semester starts in mid-October, so that's when Erasmus parties can usually be expected.

There are a lot of reasons why these events are great for hooking up:

- The ratios will be good: 60% of all Erasmus students are female
- It's a heaven for flag collectors: The crowd is from all over Europe, even from smaller countries in Eastern Europe
- People are open-minded, drunk and party-oriented: Many students in Europe live with their parents when they attend university, so their semester abroad is probably the first time in their lives when they are on their own and can blithely go nuts, do drugs and fuck around, since they are not limited by the social norms of their home countries and their native environments.
- The last point translates into a better chance to successfully game women from countries that many players consider difficult. I'm thinking of Spain, Italy, Turkey or Portugal.
- If you are not satisfied with the women of the country you are currently situated in, Erasmus crowds are good a way to build up social circles that can bring you ladies from other places.

Quality of talent may vary but I strongly advise everyone to check out Erasmus events if you have the chance.

Erasmus Parties

The organization that tends to organize events is the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). Of course, ESN guys (and the members of ESN are mostly guys, at least in Southern Europe) claim it's all about "cultural exchange", but they're smarter than that.

Girl from Poland comes to Barcelona on ERASMUS. She used to live with her parents in Gdansk, and she's both scared and excited to be on her own for the first time in her life. It's September, and she knows no one at all in Barcelona. ESN Barcelona helps her find accommodation, gives her maps, hints, and support. Then, ESN Barcelona invites her to several ESN parties with other students from all over Europe. Before her classes even start, one of the guys high up in the hierarchy of ESN Barcelona is fucking the girl.

Several friends of mine used ESN as their private poosy paradise a few years ago. Not in Barcelona, though.
