Having quite enjoyed G's Miami VS Montreal Comparison Data Sheet I thought I would bust out a Bangkok VS Melbourne Comparison Data Sheet. I have spent over 6 months total in each.
While these two cities are also not really direct competitors, they are no doubt two of the best cities in the Asia Pacific region alongside Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo and Sydney.
While I'm not aware of any demand for this sheet I thought it would be an interesting exercise nonetheless.
In the red corner: Bangkok, ranked the world's most visited city
In the blue corner: Melbourne, ranked the world's most liveable city
Will Bangkok warrant your visit too? Will Melbourne more than justify its liveable reputation? With a player's needs in mind, let's break it down.
Local Girls
Both cities have decent local girls. Melbourne has White, Asian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and East African locals. Bangkok counts only Thai girls as locals (maybe long-term Burmese and Indians too). Bangkok has better girls on average, Melbourne better variety. Both have their fair share of top tier stunners. Although the stunners don't seem to care about working as racegirls at the Melbourne Grand Prix.
Winner: Bangkok

Tourist Girls
Melbourne's tourist or international student girls find themselves in very high demand, particularly the Latinas and Euros. Yet Bangkok has more tourists, cheaper alcohol, stronger party culture - the slut factor is off the charts.
Winner: Bangkok
Girls Overall
Bangkok has better average quality and better tourist girls. If we were to count attitudes towards men (which I'm not) it would be a slam dunk.
Winner: Bangkok
Competition
Competition is a complete mismatch. Tyson vs Bambi. Men that don't dress well in Melbourne are automatically rejected entry at most venues. Alongside dressing better, Melbourne guys are better looking, taller, more masculine, more cultured, more aggressive in approaching. Guys will regularly attempt to steal girls from you. You have strong competition in every niche (mainstream, hipster, hip hop) and in every venue (house party, bars, clubs) and in every style of attire (suit, casual, hipster).
Thai men don't seem to approach, ever. Your only competition is high-so Thai millionaire playboys with Ferraris and Lamboghinis who will smash you on status. Otherwise, your biggest challenge comes from tourists with game.
Winner: Bangkok (because no competition is good competition).
Ratios
Melbourne's ratios only approach 50/50 in high end establishments because the bouncers play a strict hand. The city in general has bad ratios for nightlife. I have never seen a sausagefest in Bangkok. Bangkok girls openly complain about the high rates of homosexuality for Thai men. Nightlife venues in Bangkok are always roughly even.
Winner: Bangkok
Nightlife Vibe
Both cities have good nightlife. Melbourne has some great clubs and its bar scene is well known. Bangkok has lax smoking laws, later drinking times, and you can buy alcohol in 7/11 to drink on the street. Melbourne has police everywhere. It's greatest weakness is expensive alcohol. A pint of the cheapest beer is $9.
Bangkok can't match the sheer number of cool bars in Melbourne. But Melbourne is only buzzing 3 nights a week: Thurs, Fri and Sat. Bangkok always has something on. Melbourne has the better vibe... until you take alcohol, opening hours and women into consideration, which turn out to be the three most important factors.
Winner: Bangkok
Day Game
Melbourne is oversaturated with daygamers and few get laid from it. In Bangkok it will be the first time she has ever been approached during the day, you can put your house on it.
Winner: Bangkok
Online Game
Both suck equally.
Winner: Who cares?
Beach
You wouldn't think Melbourne would ever win on beaches in a head-to-head comparison but it helps that Bangkok doesn't even have one.
Winner: Melbourne

Restaurants
Bangkok has superb top class restaurants and excellent food in general. But the foodie culture in Melbourne is just too pervasive, too much depth, too strong. It's telling that Melbourne's most popular TV show is Masterchef.
Winner: Melbourne
Parks
Bangkok's parks are noisy, dirty and bland. Humidity is also unpleasant. Melbourne's parks are phenomenal - all of them.
Winner: Melbourne
Architecture
Once the world's wealthiest city, Melbourne paid for its grandiose colonial buildings with gold in the 19th century. Flinders St Station, The State Library of Victoria, the Royal Exhibition Building are striking. Bangkok specialises in the eyesore school of architecture.
Winner: Melbourne
Expense
Bangkok is really expensive if you want it to be. But at least you have a choice.
Winner: Bangkok
Stylistically
Girls in Melbourne dress well and are very fashion conscious. High heels and short dresses at clubs, skinny jeans and tees at bars.
Winner: Melbourne
User Friendliness
An apartment in CBD Melbourne will give you incredible logistical power as the CBD draws 70% of nightlife. Bangkok ties different areas together much better than Melbourne due to the BTS Skytrain which is incredible. Its cheap taxis (and agile motorbike taxis) are also a treat. But Bangkok as a city is too spaced out and the traffic too overwhelming.
Winner: Melbourne
Variety of Girl
Melbourne has huge variety. 34.8% were born overseas. Still, variety is not the same thing as quality.
Winner: Melbourne
Custom Suited Down
Melbourne is definitely not Custom Suited Down turf. It's better to wear a navy blazer or leather jacket. A suit in Bangkok will always look good as long as the fabric can handle the heat.
Winner: Bangkok
Boxing Gyms
One city is the home of Muai Thai. The other is not.
Winner: Bangkok
Sport
G didn't have this on the scorecard but sport is important. Melbourne is perhaps the strongest city for sport pound for pound in the world. This is one reason your male competition in bars is tough. Weather is perfect for rowing, running and all codes of football.
Bangkok is terrible for both viewing or competing in sport.
Winner: Melbourne
Racetracks
One city has a public holiday for one of the world's greatest international races. Around 110,000 people will attend the Spring Racing Carnival. The other does not have such a race.
Winner: Melbourne
Final tally:
Bangkok wins 10-9 over Melbourne (with 1 inconclusive).
So the record stands at 10-9.
Great matchup.
Melbourne fought back strongly after a weak start but in the end Bangkok takes the cake.
I am open for any questions or if you have a new category you want me to assess, let me know.
