I'm flying to Bangkok on 9/11 and will there for a few weeks before I'm continue to rave around in Thailand, Phils and Indonesia for about 6-8 months. Would kicks ass to meet and hang out with some cool people instead of all these dirty backpackers that are all over the place. Contact me if you're around. I'll be around for a while. Good times.

Out of curiousity, are tickets cheaper on that day?

frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Kipling

Not specifically on 9/11. But for some reason the tickets are cheap if you're flying out of Russia around 9/11. Via Dubai..
I'll be heading to SEA at the end of Sept. Flying into KL then from there who knows, i'm rolling dollo for 3 months, planned on going to Indonesia, Phils and Thailand.
Would be good to meet up, i'll PM you once im out.

I'm still in Bkk, just one of many anonymous IT guys who hang out in this cool city.
Fortunately the backpackers tend to hang out in the Victory Monument, Khan San Road area. Sukhumvit is better.
KL is great BTW, if you have time get the train from KL Sentral to the Batu Caves for just 1 RM and play Indiana Jones against all the aggressive monkeys guarding the stairway to the caves.
Sadly KL ChinaTown is full of backpackers.
