. Jeffries was too obnoxious though, he could have been way more charismatic without the big ego-talk.
PUA: I see the reality, accept it and see what I can do to prevail
MRA: I see the reality but don't accept it, instead I bitch and moan about it
Feminist: I don't see the reality, and I am trying to maintain the illusion
I see it more like...
PUA: I see reality, accept it and see what I can do to prevail.
MRA: I see reality and hate accepting it because the end of all of this is our society collapses so I am trying to wake the women up. But even when I predict their responses and behavior on film it isn't enough for them.
Feminist: I see a fantasy dream world and everyone who disagrees hates women.
I think the clearest difference between the MRA and PUA (i.e. the player) is that the PUA doesn't care, whereas the MRA does.
The PUA doesn't give a fuck about society, or women. He is interested in his own well-being, and the rest be damned. That's not to say the PUA wouldn't try to help if he could - but overall, he knows it's a lost battle and our current civilization is doomed.
Meanwhile, the MRA actually believes women are worth saving, and genuinely wants to help them. Even though he is shit on relentlessly by women, he never gives up, hoping that someday women will see the truth and accept that men are treated unfairly.
----
The PUA movement has exploded, but the MRA movement is still a fringe. And the reasons are obvious - the MRA's deny nature. They still believe men and women are equal, which is a lie. Men and women cannot be equal, so the end result is that men must fight for themselves and put their own interests first.
Meanwhile, MRA's like Mel Feit
live in a fantasy land:

Despite all the negative consequences of maintaining a fundamentalist's belief to his cause—alienation from his siblings; rejection from girlfriends who scoffed at his proclivity for skirts or ridiculed his masculinism; frequent harassment from T.V. producers for his appearance; the habitual trivialization or misapprehension of his values and ideas—Feit doesn't mourn his losses or his struggles: "I'm sometimes sorry that I didn't marry and have children," he tells me at the end of the NCM shindig, "but I have never regretted my work." He's even optimistic about the future: "Some young and progressive women," he says on my way out the door, "realize that their long-term self-interest lies in an honest gender equality that includes the concerns of men. My vision of equality contemplates a wonderful intimacy between the sexes. Maybe women will someday agree with me."
Even though Feit's choices have led him to the same cat-lady like existence as most feminists his age, he still continues the crusade against windmills and other illusions. In the same way a rational man can reject feminism, so can he reject "men's rights," because he also rejects "women's rights."
Meanwhile, the PUA's are the barbarians at the gates, taking whatever is left over from the rotting carcass of western civilization, realizing that in this world the strong do what they can while the weak suffer what they must.
