The general message of "don't be a fucking cunt to your husband and you'll be a lot happier for it" was the part I liked. It is interesting, now that you mention it, that they think they have some kind of control and that they're "just letting it happen," as if they actually have power over the situation. Any woman, if she gets the notion in her head, can be remarkably shrewish and accomplish precisely jack shit within the household outside of lame ass power struggles and making menial chores (dishes, laundry) into gulag concentration camp labor through the art of complaint.
