You can really see the faint signs of Americanization of Brazilian girls you guys have been talking about (see her "wait, what?" snark @1:19).
That whole video. I think foreign girls trying to be "witty" and do the whole American thing is even worse than our American girls doing it

I've been in contact with a couple of my pipelined girls tonight and both said it's nothing I should be worried about. One was showing me pictures of the protest(she went) and said its mostly a proud and prideful protest, with the occasional oddball taking too far by throwing rocks or trying to start a fire.
Nonetheless, it's concerning and I'll have to monitor this very closely.
Looks like it's rapidly getting real. Supposedly 1 million folks protesting on the streets of Rio. My friend in Centro said there's tear gas outside of his apt and that he can't even see across the street.
Hope it settles down by the time you make it out there.

These past couple of years have been plentiful with protests. We've had them all over the middle east, several countries in Europe, Turkey and now Brazil.
Interesting times.

Thanks Man!! I'm back!
Things got very huge here this last days. President Dilma gave a speech in national TV last night, and the largest movement who was calling for the protests (MPL) announced that they will no longer call for other protests in the short term.
at this moment i feel that the momentum is really up for grabs, things could go either to the left (a left wing group gaining support) or to the right ( MPL actually stated that one of the reasons for their withdrawal from the street protests was that they accused far right wing militants and groups that support the return of the military rule to be "capturing" the momentum and trying to drive the popular movement to their agendas).
Or it can led to nothing and everything stays the same.

I think all this talk of the Brazilian miracle is going to slow down, quick.
I agree,
thats why the middle class here never believed that the streets were paved with gold here like the whole world and our political etites were saying.
