The D.C. Human Rights Act prohibits discrimination based on gender identity or expression in housing, employment, public accommodations and educational institutions.

D.C. Attorney General Karl A. Racine (D) said in a statement Wednesday that Cuba Libre would pay a $7,000 penalty to the District for violating the act. The restaurant must also train staff on D.C. laws regarding gender identity and post signs that “all individuals are allowed to use the restroom that corresponds to their gender identity or expression,” the statement said.

Racine said he will introduce legislation to “clarify” the right of his office to pursue cases involving Human Rights Act violations.

“The District’s laws reflect one of our residents’ most deeply-held values: that all people should be treated equally,” Racine said in a statement. “With this settlement, Cuba Libre is required to maintain policies that will ensure this type of discrimination does not happen again.”

America is venturing into the kind of Soviet level impossibility where people will be persecuted almost randomly for failing to adhere to multiple laws that contradict each other.

It's the legal equivalent of two officers shouting contradictory commands at gunpoint.

In this case the restaurant has a duty of care to make sure that men don't use the women's restrooms for obvious reasons, but if Macho Ma'am decides to rough it with a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and some sneakers then "she" is functionally indistinguishable from a man, because she is one.

Damned if you stop them, damned if you don't. Notice how the prevailing assumption with these stories is that the tranny is presumably wearing a cabana dress and stilettos when they're misgendered and oppressed by a horrible bigot? But a lot of the time women wear clothing that's not much different from men except to say that it's obviously a woman wearing it.

I'd say the pertinent question is when are we going to see a similar restaurant sued for failing to stop men from using the women's restroom and causing distress to those women therein.

I said in another thread you see lots of "trannys" coming out the dark because of the rough conditions of being a man in 2019, even just being a fraudulent woman gives you some EZ-Pass privileges which can be enticing for weak, effeminate, fairy-type dudes. Also, it increases their SMV in the gay community; where you probably have congestion of normal gay/bi men and then being a tranny makes you stick out.

There are lots of closet and 'down-low' dudes who desperately cling to the delusion that tranny doesn't count as a man, and therefore, does not make them "gay/Bi". Essentially, the delusion keeps these men thinking they are straight because, in their mind, they do not get with men (one could blame that hardcore abuse of porn is to blame as dudes go down the slippery slope with more and more taboo and hardcore porn consumption).

Not sure how else to explain why this dude decided to become a tranny. At least he could try and wear a wig or some shit - he looks like Rachel Maddow - very weak effort with the HR manager haircut. Very lazy tranny - no wonder he got asked for his ID.

Anyone ever interacted with a tranny? Its such a mindfuck. I ran into one in a library while asking for help on locating a certain book. Looked like a legit female up until it opened its mouth and a deep voice came out. I was totally thrown off guard and mumbled "uh huh, thank you".

I think people are downplaying just how uncomfortable it is to be around the LGBTQ crowd for the normies.
