First off, DAMN you Coffee Bean WiFi for refreshing my page without me asking after I typed up a fucking longass report. May you rot in hell.

Moving on...

Del Mar was everything that G has said and then some. Never have I seen such a staggering amount of hot girls in one event, even more than a fashion show.

I wound up driving to Del Mar and brought my main girl to meet with some business associates of mine. Now I know you're asking 'Why the fuck would you bring a girl?'. Good question.

First off, she's a perfect event companion, sexy, pretty, has poise, class and grace, and keeps her mouth shut. Also, since I was meeting with business associates I didn't want to be too distracted with chasing ass all day when I had business to discuss.

Lastly, I wanted to get a feel for the spot, which I did, so when I return next Friday, I'll be ready to slay pussy like a great Dragon Slayer of nor.

Location[size=large]

Stunning. The actual track and clubhouses transports you back in time to a better era when men drank vodka, smoked cigs and women looked like ladies. It's pretty damn cool. It took me only 1.5 hours to get there from LA. Granted I drive like Steve McQueen in Bullitt, but I left around 9a and got there around 10:40a.

GManifesto, you were correct, GET THERE EARLY for Opening Day. By Noon it was a complete fucking madhouse. To be honest, I would have felt overwhelmed if my associates didn't have it on such lock.

Expenses

If you are a cheap fuck then don't even go to Del Mar. Can you go on the cheap? Yes. Will you have fun? I highly fucking doubt it. Think spending like Mike Tyson BEFORE he lost the tigers and turned to pigeons. Seriously though, here's what I spent from roughly 11am-6pm'sh. 7 Hours.

Valet: $40.00
If you want to park 50 miles away in a dirt lot and only spend $10 then be my guest. I'll watch you with binoculars from the Clubhouse 2nd level while sipping on vodka-tonic and having a drag. You'll fuck up your shoes and you'll be sweating a river by the time you get to the main gate.

Food: $160
I can't remember for the life of me the name of the restaurant on the second level veranda with that umbrella tables, but those of you who know the spot know what I'm talking about. It's not fancy, but surprisingly the food was solid.

I started off with Shrimp Cocktail. Now they delivered this on a black plastic plate on a piece of lettuce and tarter sauce in a cup so don't expect a silver platter with a fancy shrimp cocktail cup.

One of the girls with us commented in a negative manner regarding the presentation until I quipped back with, "Are you paying for this meal? No? Ok then doll enjoy and think about the kids in Africa starving right now. Pass me that bottle of Dom." I have a rare gift of being a dick while also well, being a dick.

We ordered one Bottle of Dom which I didn't pay for, my business associates did (I believe it was $300 for the bottle), but for some shrimp cocktail, a few drinks and some pizzas which were decent, between me and my main girl I dropped $100 including tip. Not bad I don't think.

The other $60 was for snack type food from the concessions etc.

Drinks: $200 est.
If you like to drink and don't want to spend $, then bring a flask. They don't search you when you come in so you'll be fine.

Betting: $100
I gave $100 for my main to play with on the horses and I personally didn't bet at all. She lost it all, but it was close, no fault of hers. I wanted to observe and focus on all the ass and my biz associates while she was focused on learning how to bet. She was distracted and I hid my lustful eyes behind solid black Ray Bans.

Total Spent est: $500

Was it worth it? Every fucking penny. If you're going solo or with a buddy, which I will next time, then you'll probably spend less, unless you're buying girls drink after drink.

Girls

Now for the important part: the girls. Good Lordy there's such an incredible amount of ass here it's almost overwhelming. From my estimates around 98% were white American girls. Think Blue eyes, Blonde hair, white skin. Not my favorite per se, I prefer Spanish and exotic girls, however when they're this hot, then I'm down for the whiteness.

I saw multiple pairs of girls, so that is key. Of course, there were groups but I saw a lot of pairs of girls. The other thing I noticed was that there are definitely MORE girls than guys. And the guys with visible game was definitely lacking. A player, suited up and with a decent bankroll could tear it up which is what I plan on doing in a week when I return. The money guys obviously had badass girls with them, but I still got Fuck Me eyes from a few of them so they're open to being gamed.

Interestingly enough, the better the seats or season ticket holder boxes, the higher the level of girl. We had a box pretty close to the finish line so it was golden.

Logistics

I wasn't focused on pulling, just observing and getting a feel for the spot, however the #1 issue I could see with Del Mar is NOT having a GREAT exit plan. Next time I plan on renting a driver and booking a hotel room. Otherwise a DUI is bound to happen and it's key with how it's set up to be able to get a girl on the road asap and to a room before her hamster goes nuts.

Some of you guys provided lodging info which is great. Good looking out. Will definitely be utilizing it.

All in al- holy fuck a straight 9 tall model looking blonde just walked into Coffee Bean. BRB

Nice work!

I finally feel redemption on the Internet after all these years. Ha.

That being said, my career is done at Del Mar (unless I make a triumphant return one day).

McQueen'sPlayboyRules, I am passing the torch to you.

America's Playboy Mecca is now yours.

I hope it gives you as many moments of joy as it has me over the years.

Enjoy.

@G:

I have a feeling Del Mar hasn't seen the last of you, but I'll humbly try to continue the legacy.

Btw there was a certain known guy who apparently was the top % winner on placing bets last season and was up $18,000 at the end of the day. I thought it might have been you, until I was introduced to him and his style was out of JCPenny.

Mcqueen, not going.

I am about as far away from Del Mar as possible in North America right now.

You going to drop a datasheet on Bangor, Maine? [Image: smile.gif]

I could actually drop one if you want haha...grew up in Portland, ME.

Actually really dope restaurants in Portland, especially for such a small town (think population is 50k). Huffington Post and a couple other magazines have Portland ranked in Top 10 Cities for food and restaurant scene.

I forgot. I really did just forget how good it was. Opening day at Del Mar, if only for one day in the summer, was heaven on earth.

I'm not going to lie and say that it's all good. The ratios were not the best. It gets hot. There are lines, people everywhere of all ages, and logistical problems. There were a LOT of older (35-40+) women roaming around here that were all dressed up and man-hunting.

That said, the level of talent that I saw here in the 20-28 age range was off the charts for Southern California. Las Vegas at night easily tops Del Mar Opening Day. But Las Vegas can get old, and Del Mar is something different and classier.

Couple of things to add for the datasheets....

>If you wait until after the first post at 2pm, there is virtually no traffic. I left downtown San Diego at 2pm via a $35 Uber, and drove straight in without so much as waiting at a stoplight on Via De La Valle.

>The best after party was at Hotel L'Auberge, and tickets were $200 cash at the door to get in. Advance tickets were $175. I paid for my friend, so it set me back $400, just to get in. Alternative plan would be to go in on a room with a group, or, go to another after party downtown San Diego. Sidebar and Seersucker supposedly had good ones. You can see pics at http://www.discoversd.com right now on the front page.

>Next year, I will skip the after party and instead go down and hang out Wednesday night and show up at 11am. The women seemed to have thinned out by about the 5th post. I think a lot of girls go early for the festivities, get drunk during the day, then bail. The after party didn't have the same sheer numbers of attractive women.

>You can easily walk to downtown Del Mar from the track. There are a lot of people doing it, and bars along the way. Not recommended if you're with a chick. It's a great idea to jump in a cab, but you should really have a car service. Someone I met told me that they did Uber SUV because it was faster.

>It was reasonable this year, but it can get hot. I don't mind the heat. I wear a lot of linen, and don't have a b.o. problem, so I don't mind sweating and then drying off in the shade. Most people have a harder time in a suit. I took an extra cotton pocket square along to wipe my forehead off periodically.

>For guys that go on the cheap.
#1. Walk to the far gate and pay $6-8 for general admission. I paid $20 for Clubhouse, and didn't use the ticket. Turf Club on Opening Day is impossible without knowing someone or an advance ticket.

#2. They don't pat down for booze. I took in a half pint of Vodka to refill my drink. Del Mar Doubles are $16.

#3. You don't have to dress up. Girls just want the attention and don't care who gives it to them. There were plenty of guys there that were casual, shorts, etc. You won't stick out if you don't dress up. That said, H&M had linen suits for $115 this summer that didn't need tailoring if you were slim. I tried one on and bought one as a birthday gift for my friend that doesn't dress very well. He looked great. Whatever you do, don't wear an office suit. That's probably the only way you'll be able to stick out...for all the wrong reasons.

I think most everything else has been said on the thread already, and it's all accurate. If you have any questions, I'll give you my opinion here.

Forgot to mention I got 3 numbers and a dance floor grab-ass session with a nice Latina. If you can't approach girls at Opening Day in Del Mar, you need to hit the reset button on yourself.

How was L'Auberge compared to past years? We didn't go because everyone I talked to said they had heard nobody wanted to pay the $175 (it was $100 in past years)

I have found the best times to be there are when it opens, and around 5:30 or so, when the hordes of people start leaving

Turf Club on Opening Day is impossible without knowing someone or an advance ticket.

A friend and I got Turf Club tickets from a scalper for $50 under face value. But honestly, many of the other areas of the track are just as good for scouting out talent. Lots of girls with their sugar daddies in the Turf Club

If you wear a bright colored summer suit though, you can get girls approaching you. I got multiple compliments from strangers in mine

@sre94

I haven't been to Opening Day in 7 years. Went 5 years in a row before that though. This was my firs time at L'Auberge.

Turf Club attracts an older, wealthier type of woman. The type of women that are used to being around wealthy people and aspire for that scene. That category of woman is just not something I chase or put any effort into.

Went on Sat. It was raining and humid. Girl was there that I've already banged.

If you ride up the West elevator to the top floor, there's a hallway that overlooks the ocean with some bathrooms. Not a lot of people up there. I was able to get my girl into the mens, and went for it.

No bang though. For some reason we don't mesh standing up. Still fun [Image: smile.gif]

I'm bumping this thread. I think this thread easily had the potential to be one of the best threads in the history of the forum, but for some reason a lot of members got into pissing contests with other members here. I'm not sure if this information has been provided thus far in the thread so, I'll ask my questions here. Is it only worthwhile going on opening day? How much worse is the quality and volume on days other than opening day? What are the best hotel options close to the racetrack? What are the approximate prices of each hotel? Does it make sense to buy tickets for the racetrack beforehand? If so, how far in advance should they be purchased? It seems like this place has exactly the kind of girls that I am attracted to. Colombians do absolutely nothing for me and I don't understand the hype and never will.

The event was great as always, but the highlight was the afterparty at the L'Auberge Hotel. It was still going strong at midnight when they shut it down

Originally did not buy tickets because I wasn't sure a lot of hot women would pay $175 to get in. That clearly was not a problem. Next year, I am going without hesitation

Just saw this thread. Was there on opening day 2008. Can vouch for pretty much everything Mr. Manifesto said. Went down from LA with a few older guys. Being only 20 at the time it was a bit over my head game-wise, not that I was 'game aware' at the time anyway. Regardless, it was an absolute schmorgasboard. Ended up number closing a blonde from San Diego and actually closing her a few days later. Great memories. If you are at all able, go, you will not be disappointed.
