Thought I'd mix things up and seek some info on a place a little closer to home. I love Latinas, and according to Wikipedia 61% of San Antonio's population is Hispanic. I've also heard it's a nice city with a lively party scene. Yet there's very little info on it in this forum.

So what do you guys think? Those of you who live here, or have visited, what's your review of the place? I'm sure almost all of the Latinas are Mexican, which is fine with me. Are a good portion of them attractive? What's the general attitude of the people down there (friendly, cold, etc.)? Are the women easy to pick-up? I'm looking to take a long-weekend trip here soon, depending on the feedback of course.

Thanks,

LS

Still nothing on this? No one's ever been there? Perhaps it's a hidden gem. I'm looking to go mid-June.

San Antonio aka Hill country is a strange city...on one hand it has great mexican history and restaurants, but on the other it's very conservative and boring. The nightlife is descent but not great like Houston or Dallas. Most of the women will be military gf's/wives or call center baby momma's. A ton of computer mfg's are moving data centers-call centers down to the region with Rackspace being HQ there and SA being about 45 min - 1 hr drive from Austin...Hit the riverwalk, it is a must and it's very beautiful along with the Alamo...SA to me seemed more family oriented than anything...

The latina women in S.A. I found to be a little on the heavy side and not like their counterparts in Houston (don't get me started)...definitely not like Miami/NY/Chi-town/LA latinas...

oh it will be a big sausage fest due to the military presence...check out club tabu downtown...

SA is a dump. I've been there probably 50 times; the last was a two-week work trip where I really got to explore the nightlife. Basically, there is none. Everyone always mentions the Riverwalk, but it's basically just an outdoor knick-knack market. There are some decent bars close to the universities (Trinity University, UT San Antonio). Public transportation is essentially non-existent in SA, so you'll be dependent on a car.

Skip SA, head to Austin.

Thanks for the info guys. After some more research of my own, I've also concluded that the SA nightlife seems very weak. Additionally, Charles Barkley recently made a comment on TV claiming all the women in SA are fat. Haha.

I'm gonna hold off on this city for now.

I have lived in san antonio for the past 5 years, and the generalizations that have been made are true. These aren't the "spicy latinas" of miami. These are obese mexicans who cannot speak spanish. Good luck finding one who doesn't already have a pack of kids. With 3 big military bases here there is no shortage of horny guys anywhere you go. I hate the riverwalk, it is an overpriced place with no parking and plenty of tourists. There are some cool small bars, but I'm sure any city has that. All in all, I'm getting out of here as soon as my enlistment is up.

Haha...poor ole SA can't catch a break. I figured the ladies weren't as nice as in Miami, but yea, sounds like most of them are pretty rough. Thanks for the input.

Any recent data on SA? I lived there for about 5 months in '08. I moved to South Texas at 17 in '03 so I really dont know any better. I looking forward to April when I finally make it back to the states. Plan is to near Corpus until my Dad moves in '14 back to Belize. Not trying to live in Corpus anymore. So its SA, HOU, Brownsville or McAllen maybe Laredo. SA might be okay but I dont like the traffic. The women aren't on McAllen's level.

Any thoughts?

Texas Made - I dont even know why would you consider moving to those valley towns instead of Houston. You can't compare them to here. Yes, the pussy is easy in the valley but I need more shit to do than that. I would get bored in SA if I was living there. Why are you insisting on staying out there? It's backwards and boring as fuck.

Houston, You get in where you fit in. I want to be all about school and pussy. All that other jazz can be kept. I'm not a big city type and SA feels like it isn't. Plus SA to Corpus is 1:45 which is better than the 3 hours plus from Houston to Corpus. The only reason I would reside in Texas is to kick it with my pops before he retires.

School and pussy. I dont need lounges or packed clubs/bars. Pussy. I dont need shows, football/basketball games, festivals, and the rest of the big city shit. The logistical nightmare for SNLs. I guess I enjoy simple shit and easy women. You still need to come visit the valley when I get back.

Take a trip to Austin, which is 20x better and drive the hour to San Antonio if you must for the night. Although, this isn't recommended.

Headed to SA next weekend for holiday weekend. Was going there on Sunday for a Belizean picnic but decide to just stay the weekend. Like I said earlier I was there in '08 for a few months. The city is weird. Trying to scout out a spot to stay. Would appreciation any suggestions.

Staying away from the riverwalk. I know a hood little spot off Fredricksburg called Crystals. I was taken there by a piece I had a while back. Chachos Nachoes is a great little pregame spot. There was a Grahms central station back in the day. I dont know if that is open or not. Probably reach town about 8 on friday check in and pregame somewhere. Hit a club or bar after. Saturday daygame at the mall, maybe downtown, nap, pregame at a strip club then start bar hoppin. Sunday I got that picnic to see if I can catch me a Belizean princess. If that goes well run some nightgame and see if its worth it to stay till Monday.

If the weekend goes hard ill post a trip report. If its weak then ill post here for an update. Logistics is horrible because the city is so spread out so I probably have to pick an area, peep the scene then decide if its worth it or move on.

Game time.

I've always wanted to roll down there for a Spurs game - at some point, when the Knicks are playing them, I'm going to do it. The Riverwalk is pretty much a tourist thing, and of course you have the Alamo. I've never heard much about the women being a reason to hit San Antonio however. I'd do a weekend, but without much expectation.

Was there a few years ago, only for two nights.

Was a lot of fun, went to riverwalk i guess to a bar called dickies, low end but lively. Girls would eyefuck and approach, one was very cute. Then just walking around one night a tall mexican in an elegant dress approached me as well.

Seemed like the nightlife was restricted but it was a very fun relaxed vibe, spring break-ish

San Antonio is pretty awesome I've been there 3 times in the last year for business and like it. Definitely could see myself settling down in the area.

North Star Mall is full of latinas. When I went to the The Alamo it was overflowing with cute blonde girls. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to check out any of the night life.

As Austin becomes unlivable, I have actually thought of looking for a new job in San Antonio. They have lots of roads, unlike Austin. And it's also not grossly overpriced like Austin is. It's probably the most livable city in Texas now.
