DC Area = celibacy?

I was at Le Diplomatte the other night and it was stocked.

Ive always said, there is about just enough hot girls to frequent a new bar/eat place for 3 months. Then they move on to the next one. Just gotta keep up with where the hot new place is.

and okcupid for DC is same as it ever was. I turned it on two weeks ago for one week and pulled a sweet 7 off of there to keep as a side piece. she is from Iowa. sweet girl, loves to fuck, cute enough to be in public with.

course I have a 8.5 as a main squeeze, and she definitely stands out.

i think all the handwringing over dc is blow out of proportion, but it is true, there are very few if any at all 9's and 10's here for the picking.

G - you're right in thinking the gold diggers would come. they have. its just they arent looking for 90k/ year dudes in the 20's. they are looking at the owners of the defense contractors and probably hanging at country clubs in mclean, or at embassy parties and such.

simply going out to the "normal" people hotspots in dc wont get you in touch with the real talent, what little of it there is.

but if a guy can deal with 7's and 7.5's...there is a steady endless stream of them coming to town every year

I agree. I lived in DC a few years ago, and had a lot of success. Looking back on it, I was rarely at a club or bar. Social circles counted for a lot, and on any given weekend night, I'd have multiple house parties to attend with my friends. We'd hit a club maybe once a month, in the rare situation where no one knew of a house party going on.

Would throwing frequent apartment parties in DC be a good way to build up a social network?

Yes. The better the neighborhood, the better the quality.

I don't think this is really possible for some of us old cats who own places in expensive DC neighborhood's....the worries of security and stranger's messing up a half million condo and pissing off the neighbors out-weight the benefits of an ONS.

Well it wouldn't be inviting random strangers - they will all have some sort of a social connection and mature enough not to get plastered and wild. We must have a thread on here about how to throw a good house party including how to figure out who to invite. I figured the DC crowd would be a bit more educated and mild?

ha. you don't hand out postcards to strangers on h street....

Here is how you do this:

1.Nice condo with roof or balcony or rowhouse with yard for grilling.
2.Choose 2-3 friends you trust.
3. Start a weekly thing - Sunday bbq - thursday music and drinks....
4. You and your boys spit game and invite cute girls - all you talk to and meet all week - whole foods, starbucks, hh, metro
5. Keep the vibe classy with a comfortable sexual undertone
6. Word gets out, by end of summer 20-40 girls know that your house is a nice safe fun consistent spot. They bring their friends and the cycle continues.

I checked out the Phillips Collection yesterday for something called Phillips After 5. Lomax10 put me onto it. It was kinda fly. I'd say talent wise there were a smattering of 7.5's (8 at best) in social circles. It's the type of event to hit up with a wingman or a small crew. Drinks were served on the courtyard and on the lower house level, with the first cocktail being complimentary. Various complimentary snacks like fine chocolate, cheeses, hummus spread, fruits, veggies, and crackers were also on deck. It was some smooth shit.

Then there was an after party at Malmaison in Georgetown. That was less cool. But I like the area. Georgetown though is more for social circle, not so much pickup. The music was subpar. A few hot chicks with older men were in some social circle. Some rich fucks it seemed like.

If you go to a future event at the Phillips rock a suit or blazer. Some cats were peacocking pretty hard. Pastel colored blazers with bright wingtips or gucci loafers and matching pocket squares were on display.

Most of the museum staff are comprised of chicks in their 20s so don't neglect them either. Nothing mind blowing but a solid 7.5 here and there. I heard a few foreign languages being spoken (i.e. French, Italian, Portuguese). Some conversations I overhead included "I saw this in a Parisian magazine..."

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the dudes there were on this forum. A couple of cats were putting in work.

Overall, not a bad scene for DC. Very international and sophisticated set gearing towards the younger crowd. The homes around the museum are pretty sick. Very tony area full of embassies, dignitaries, and upper crust folk. Wouldn't be a bad place to live at all. Totally different scene that feels cosmopolitan. I saw some rooftop patios on some homes with imported palm trees and swimming pools, for example.

Also, the museum staff chicks are the easiest because they are forced to keep their eye on you and are ready to answer questions, so it's not a cold opener. You can easily get into a conversation about the art or the museum in general and then go into your game.

HC, sounds like gaming the staff is the better move. These closed social-circles can be tough to break.

Yeah. I think I'm going to look at art events more closely now. I'm curious to know what type of events go down in other cities. I also may check out Art Basel in Miami one of these days.

Man, Jazz in the Garden got cancelled today. Lots of up and down weather lately.

Can you expand on the Jazz in the Garden events as I've been meaning to check them out for some time. I assume this is the weekly event on the mall by the Smithsonian, is alcohol served there? Also, would you say it has a good ratio for pickup or mostly dudes/mixed company?

This. Seriously. I was at a house party last night up near Shaw. I was expecting a kind of average row house. When I walked up to the place, I was shocked to find a million dollar house with a huge backyard. I don't know the owner or her parents, but got the scoop from some mutual friends about the setup. Here's the kicker though: the Facebook invite got updated today by the host and, unfortunately, some asshole stole some shit from the various bedrooms during the party.

So, yea, nice house parties are gonna attract some thieves. Average houses? Probably not so much.

Massive house parties with 30+ and random people probably won't work if worried about stealing stuff. Likely best to keep it 10-20. In DC, would a 7 have a packed social calendar or would she be interested in a party over another night at the bars?

So I went to the Jazz in the Garden fest this week. For those who don't know this is supposed to be the most happening event (except for the Nats games) every friday in the city, weather permitting and is "free"...what I mean by that is that you can listen to the music for free and bring your own food and drinks as long as they are non-alcoholic. My wingman managed to sneak in some Vodka in a sprite bottle but it was so hot outside that we basically poured it out and ended up paying for the overpriced beer from the park service booths. Event was packed with people to the max, took about 30 minutes just to get an overpriced $18 pitcher of Stella and there were no seats anywhere by the fountains or the grass. I think if one wants to have good logistics they should come no later than 5pm to this event and position themselves close to one of the entrances so they can try to run day-game on the approaching girls.

So my buddy and I ended up hitting on multiple sets (i saw no girls by themselves the whole time i was there) and getting 2 numbers out of about 8 approaches over the course of 1 hour. We honestly had to try hard to approach, not due to approach anxiety but due to lack of quality in the ~21-30 age range (my preferred target). It felt like a chore. Considering there were at least 2k+ people in this small park, and about 45% women you'd think there would be a few stunners showing off and trying to get guy's attention but sadly that was not the case. The quality of the women was atrocious and there were way too many couples, families and mixed sets ...I saw very few women above an 8 and there were many women who you could tell had the typical DC area attitude of "I don't give a f$#@ how I look I am here just for a girl's night out with my girlfriends". Some of them straight out blew us out even though we approached them with compliments and were dressed well. WTF!?

For someone who is used to seeing quality overseas in the pussy heaven of the FSU countries I was shocked how little the women put into their looks (see a photo of the sorry scene below..).

Majority of the women wore flip flops and loose skirts 2 sizes too big, very few booty shorts, tight tops or high heels that I am used to seeing in European cities during the summer months. I guess the highlight of the night was when I saw a blonde chick on the lawn who was sitting with a skirt, leg's open and was commando, me and her exchanged eye contact but I was too excited to really make a proper approach.

After an hour of this overrated event we finally decided to leave and make our way to Thomas Circle (14th street) & the Donovan hotel rooftop where we were finally rewarded with European eye-candy [Image: tard.gif]

Has anyone checked out the French resto Le Diplomate on 14th Street? I see some decent chicks posted up there sometimes. Apparently there's a two-week wait list to even get a table. It's a prominent addition to the 14th/U St area. Looks like something straight out of France.

HM, can someone do a quick scouting report on it. Perhaps G can fly out to DC for that? [Image: idea.gif]

By the way, I've had some luck at Lincoln before. It's an ultra-high end place as well and always has a decent ratio though the bar area is too small to get good seats unless one arrives early for HH. The bartenders are a bit stuck up but female quality is top notch and all age ranges from early 20s to cougars.

I've been.

its like a disney land recreation of france. but well done. its really cool.

there is definitely a higher concentration of talent there than other places. it is still on the cool people list of places to go, but it will expire soon.

food is great, totally worth it just for that.

on saturday night if you go, there is definitely a good energy. i nearly got raped coming out of the bathroom by what seemed to be an entire woman's basketball team. i'm 6'4 and they looked me right in the eye. they wanted to devour me. it was crazy.

my girl and i were given a great round booth that looked out into the crowd all night. lots of chicks in little black dresses, people dressed up, there to be seen.

but then just like always there are idiots in shorts and tourists and other people that ruin what could be a really great scene.

but all in all, definitely a place to hit as soon as you can...the talent will move on to the next cool place soon enough.

Why don't they have a dress code? I mean just turn people away. It's not hard.
