"Brain Training," Lumosity and the like...

Somehow managed to double-post when I wanted to add one more edit but I'll try to add more information in terms of brain training.

The key boils down to this:

Always be learning. Much like your gains in the gym, if you don't keep it up, you lose it. We want to be able to use our brain for as long as possible and keep it as intact.

Another little tip or hack to seem more intelligent is to use words that people don't commonly use. I don't mean to be a walking thesaurus, but it distinguishes you a little bit and widens your ability to be more descriptive and access a richer vocabulary.

This also aids in future pacing with the ladies [Image: biggrin.gif]

Supplementing creatine also helps with cognitive functions though if you're already a meat eater it might not have much effect.

How can physical activity do more for your brain?

Sound body, sound mind.

When you exert yourself, you place stress on your body. As you get more and more tired, your ability to think degrades, same as tiredness from lack of sleep. As you get in better and better shape, you can tolerate more stress.

Ergo - physical activity allows one to operate highest functional brain capacity for longer.

It's one of the reasons the military places a premium on physical fitness.
