Brazilians do not speak Spanish because they feel it is a language "beneath" them. You'd think that Policia federal would speak Spanish being in the front lines of immigration upon entry/exit. However, they will look at you and say "I only speak Portuguese, in a very arrogant way".

Only real upper class Brazilians bother to learn another language, and that is actually English.

I´ve been to Prague, Brno and Ostrava (the three biggest cities). Ostrava is a dump. But girls are hot and easy. I will fly to Ostrava next month, catching a plane from Barcelona to Katowice by Wizzair.


Summer (End of July, August and begining of September) is not a good time to be in Czech Republic. If you go to Prague it will be infested with tourists. It normally already is but gets worse in summer.
I would advise going to Croatia.

Regardless of tourists I found Prague uninteresting. If you've been to Western European towns with old architecture (say, Brussels) it's pretty much the same.

Ex: in a large mall, in Curitiba, I saw a PS3 going for 2500R while I could buy the same in here for like 300 bucks or about 537R with today's exchange rate. Sounds crazy, but that's Brasil for you.

That's one hell of a tax markup. I saw the same thing across much of South America. Things like camera costing way more. Now I know why well off Latins fly to Miami just to buy shit. But if you can afford to rent a car or even better, be lucky enough to find a nice girl who has her own car in BSB, you'll have the time of your life. Oh and safety there is almost a no concern.

I went to Riga for 20 days last August. Saw lots of Brits and Germans doing stag weekends and pay n play. Lots of whorehouses and stripper joints. Lots of STDs. Lots of dealers, pimping girls and coke.

Great report, I couldn't help but reminisce as my
experiences were for the most part similar. Girls were friendly but i just couldn't get past the language barrier. unlike you, I found almost every other woman there to be incredibly hot but then again I went there during Carnival. So, that might have skewed by views somewhat. Safety wise, like OGNorCal707 I never really felt unsafe, but then again I grew up in the 'hood so i am not easily intimidated by thugs/perps .

Yeah dude, Spanish guys have it much better in EE than white guys in South America. Big difference is, Spanish guy in EE aren't takes as sex tourists on the spot to the level that white guys are in South America. That's a huge difference and you have to take advantage of that.

Its funny how the grass is always greener on the other side. I always assumed that playas with blonde hair and blue eyes would be killing it in Rio or Latin America in general.
