Separatist group signed a peace deal, hopefully that means a decrease in military checkpoints and potential shopping mall bombings if you head to Davao or General Santos city. That was the biggest risk behind kidnapping/car jackings when I was there...you should have seen this little guy run when he pulled on the door handle of the truck and found me, a tall bearded, tattooed white guy sitting in the passenger seat who subsequently kicked the door at him and jumped out behind him. Would have been worse if he had a knife or gun though.

I found Davao to be safe as shit. I never felt threatened there. Only threat was the hot girl Asian mob that was constantly trying to sex me to death.

Good to hear a balanced experience. I didn't spend any time where someone would actually choose to go, as it was work related. Most of the time was out in the mountains where people live in huts, can't afford shoes and cook up stray dogs for lunch; or driving around rough looking parts of villages or general santos looking for some guy that knows another guy.

How did you end doing that stuff? Are you a mercenary? Oil company explorer?

And these deals with guerrillas, I don't know-- there's always going to be an asshole that wants a totally separate country like they originally demanded. This could be just a step for them to regroup. Religious nuts are unpredictable.

But i was thinking, why not just fake being a Muslim and you can have two wives there. Don't know if you can coerce one to have sex with the other... I don't know if you'd actaully have to pray five times a day, but there's no way for someone to know what fairly tale you believe. All religion is totally alien to me so I'll just pretend without scruples.

With all due respect, why the hell think of marriage in the Philippines, when you can have a new honey anytime you want. Maybe at 60.

Natural Resources consultant, you get to go to the ends of the earth for work as rocks and logs can only be extracted from where people aren't. Lots of National Geographic type work settings.

I got into it the way lots of other people get into entrepreneurship. Quit a good job and started to build a network of contacts.

I also second chochemonger1...I saw at least a few old white guys hand in hand walking with young girls when we'd drive by a beach resort.

I've been in Davao and I just got back from General Santos. It seemed very safe. Looks like I picked the perfect time to come to southern phil. It's strange that I rarely see police here. It's so opposite to Colombia. It's like crime is just not part of Philippine culture. They don't even need a large police force to keep things safe. Although I always see military checkpoints going into and out of cities. So you can kind of tell that a war has been going on.

20 Nation how is the female talent and overall vibe in General Santos? How did it compare to Davao? The way things are going in this world that is where I might be when I am 50.

To be honest the girls are about equal. Although I have heard that there are a lot of ladyboys in General Santos, but I didnt notice. Although I do get the impression that girls are a bit less conservative there. On average less people speak English in General Santos than in Davao City. Also, per capita I think there are just as many white people there if not more. So the exotic factor factor is the same even though you wouldn't expect it. They get around mostly in Motos in Gensan as everybody calls General Santos. If you retire there and have a car, it's an easy city to get around in. The girl I was with there's uncle let me take his car to the beach, and I got there in 15 minutes even though its way out of town. They have some decent beaches close. They have decent nightlife for the size of the city. Overall I would say Davao and Gensan are about even to me.

You have lived in Davao right? What type of game exactly do you run while in bars and clubs? I talked to a local guy, who has been really cool to me (driving me to the bus station just to help me out), and he told me that there is a system in Davao. That people go to bars to just hang out as a group, and if somebody enters into that group it is looked at as very rude. You are supposed to get girls only in clubs, as that's where single girls go. Can you confirm this? Also my night game being much weaker than my day and internet game, any pointers would be appreciated.

I would generally say that for a foreigner night game is mostly for going out early (9 pm) and getting as many numbers from the hottest girls, as you can. Later on, the mixed groups crowd the club and it is pretty difficult to get one night stands, from a girl in these groups. Most would be ostracized if she left the group to go with you.
What you can do to get a ONS, is to tell a girl you have chatted onlline to meet you at the club. She might bring a friend, so a wing would help. But as long as you can isolate and have her drinking. pulling shouldnt be that difficult.
I usually stuck to internet and day game over there because I had my hand full with young cuties from onlline or from the malls.
Also the difference in quality isnt as large in a club (vs online or on the street) compared to countries like Ukraine, Sweden, Hungary or even Peru.
