I need a quick answer from people who have been there
I´ve been dancing salsa cubana for 2 years.
Will go over a quick course of caleña a month before the scheduled trip.
My Spanish is intermediate.

I have blue eyes and blondish hair, what´s the better choice?

I have two weeks time there and a tight budget so ill probably wont be able to mix both due to high traveling fees.
My dilemma is what city would cater me best for the two weeks i will be there.
I have to say i'm inclining towards Cali since i know salsa and will enjoy myself learning caleña most of the day

Another reason to add the "where should I go thread". You been a forum member for a good while. You know we have a shitload of datasheets on both spots. Do your research. What type of women do you like? Per the threads Cali women are thick as hell and you run into darker women. You need a higher level of Spanish which you have plus salsa to not leave empty handed. You have both checked. Bogota seems to have more bolt on women but more english is spoken. Bogota is alot larger so them women will seem to be hotter. You would probably pull easier in Cali with your looks, Spanish, and salsa.

Mixx would say Cali. You would probably knock 6's out the park all day there. Are you content with 5 6's or 1 or two 8's? Just remember logistics, logistics, logistics. Better to spend more cash on a spot central to all the bars and clubs than go cheap and have to cab it to the hot spots. Thats the difference between a great vaca and an alright one. Pipeline also. Although most women form Columbia are probably looking for sponsers. You should find a 30-40 year old who would pick you up from the airport and take care of you. Seems that most of the under 30's still live with parents or are students so they are use to narco money paying for there nights out, makeup bag, and shopping. You know most chicks with bolt ons are used to narcos paying for there shit. Avoid them or take a crack but dont drop any cash on them.

Do your research and you will be good. You have the Spanish, salsa, exotic look so all you need to do is set your logistics up and pipeline and you should be lining them up and knocking them down. I would make sure I take at least one suit and nice pair of jeans and blazer. Fuck tennis shoes. Make sure you tell them you are studying at the uni or there for business and will be there for at least six months. Hopefully you know how to cook one or two dishes and set up little dinner dates. Once you get them in your apartment escalate and smash. There is a great datasheet from somebody who knocked down 10-15 in three months using that technique.

Dont look like a sex tourist and try to get an apartment and you will be straight. We probably have some members from both city that might be down to be your wingman a few nights.

let's talk for a second about logistics since it's a huge part of closing the deal.
How much would an apartment for two weeks would cost in a central classy barrio in medellin/cali/bogota?
I find myself mainly attracted to 30+ chicks, and they live usually by themselves, with an occasion of a child in the picture.
so wouldn't i be able to either continue the night at their apartment or a motel?
Because to tell the truth hostel would probably be the realistic choice for my budget

The website isn't up to date but Art has some new apartments a building right next to Chipichape Mall (good local). Expect to pay about $40 a night but maybe you can get it a bit cheaper if he has a lot of openings.

Never dated a women over 30 in Cali and I run from women with children so I can't help you there...but finding single women at any age that live by themselves will be a challenge.

Don't stay at a hostel, they have strict rules about bringing guests and you can find a cheap hotel for about the same price as a private room in a hostel.

The only time I stay at hostels is if I"m bored and want to meet other travelers, even then I usually regret it, the hostels with bars in them are okay though to meet people and have a drink.

Some Colombian hostels I'm familiar with in Cali:

Cafe Tostaky, Cali: A good hostel with a decent bar, in the historic neighborhood of San Antonio. Lots of travelers in this area, safe and not too far from bars. Run by a French guy, lots of Europeans, nice park close by with lots of people smoking dope and hanging out. 20K for a private room. http://cafetostaky.blogspot.com/

Pelican Larry, Cali: Shitty hostel, no bar but really good location in Grenada, close to many bars and restos. http://www.pelicanlarrycali.com/


Musicology, Bogota: Good hostel, nice bar and they have free salsa lessons on Tuesday. They also organize activities on the weekends such as chive party bus tours. Good location in la Candelaria, but it can be sketchy at night.

La Pinta, Bogota: I didn't go in but a friend stayed there and liked it, its in a good location of Bogota, Chapinero (where I'm currently staying) which is close to Zona Rosa and also not far from centro and la candelaria. http://la-pinta-hostel.minihostels.com/

Again, if banging girls is your main priority, I'd go for a cheap hotel. Some of them aren't too bad, but fairly basic, I don't think they'll care if you bring girls back. Plenty of options in both Bogota and Cali in the 30-60K range, hell I even ended up staying at a "love motel" for a few days in Bogota because the price was right and the room was awesome.

A little update as to my situation
got my ticket booked already and i´m leaving the inner flights to the time ill be there.
Ive been able so save quite a bit the past month so my budget allows me to rent apartments.

I need your advice on a dilemma i am having.
I have been making some female and male friends lately.
i have the numbers of all of them. with one of them i plan to travel, others want to meet for a movie, a cop of coffee etc. i would say about 50% of the meetings arranged with the women are actual dates.
the thing is they are spread between the 3 cities.
Due to the fact that i will be having only 2 weeks in Colombia i need to be very efficient with who i go with and what i do. So now i am not so sure about how good it is to meet all those friends.
A huge advantage obviously would be to get into social circles pretty fast and to get my bang throughout one of the dates or friends of friends.
But on the other hand i feel that now i have too many commitments that i got into. if i would meet a few in bogota a few in cali and a few in medellin in the end wouldn´t i be left with little time to game normal as i would have planned otherwise?

what do you guys think? should i just concentrate on one city? or should i invest my time with my friends in each city and hope to get laid in between?

Dont plan on where you want to go until you get there. Basically, if you dig the place your in, stay there. If not leave. If you think you have sure things in different cities you will have a 'grass is greener' mentality and enjoy your trip less. My 2 cents.

Your set up is similar to my recent tip. Go to Cali.

You can pull a good 7.5+ with your current skills in 2 weeks. Or a bunc of average girls.

Don't go to the high end spots without arm candy though, put in the work durin the day or online and if all else fails go to a hard core salsa venue in a strato 3-4 and pull there.

My only mistake was starting at the high end, pick up a cute girl during the day/online/pure salsa venue and you're good to go back into the high end.

Also expect your phone to blow up like crazy if you do well, you need a Colombian cell phone

why should you have to bring a girl to your hostel? there are loads of fuckmotels... it's a part of their culture. They can't fuck at their own homes because they live with their whole family and don't have privacy.

But seriously just need to talk up your cab drivers and or ask around a lot. Spend your first day hitting up locals on cool spots for each day the rest of the week.

If you can dance, Juanchito will be very easy to pull. There are some uglies in there but you just ignore them and go for the cute ones.

So yeah, get ready to get on a couple of buses to get to the right areas, a cab or two as well ($8-12). Don't need to dress nicely by the way, you can pull in a t-shirt and jeans no problem.

Or you can get on one of those Colombian party buses! Ha!
