Personally, I love natural hair on black women. What I don't tend to like is short hair (and any race or kind of woman) with a few exceptions here and there.

Full discolsure---I'm black, American, male, late 20s.

Good point. I generally don't like natural hair, but short natural hair is the worst.

@ Athlone

I disagree that there "few" men who go for women with natural hair. Most of the black men I know either like natural hair or are neutral.

Even better. All those women embarking upon their "natural hair journey" will have plenty of options, enough not to miss me at all. Everyone is a winner!

And btw, it's been great reading your shit on this forum---I'd wondered where you went after leaving Susan's blog!

Thanks, good to see you posting here too.

I like the natural look on black lizards. So go with the cornrows. If I want straight hair, I will get a non black lizard.

This. I don't typically date black women, but if/when I do I favor the natural look.

Yup. The cornrows look great. I like. I'm black and thus heavily biased, but I think the natural look conveys more "depth" or a more "soulful" look that isn't predicated on trends or vapid celebrity, but rather tradition. I aslo like the modern natural hairstyles posted above.

BUT, Mrs. Chocolate, one thing to keep in mind if you're going for a White Mauricinho- type is that natural hairstyles can be a cultural barrier for some dudes. (at least in the US) Interestingly, I notice my white friends are more likely to be more intimidated by a black woman with braids than a black woman with straight hair. Maybe they think they're not "down" enough and the braided woman only wants black guys? I don't know exactly, but have to encourage them extra to approach. Funny, huh?

Mrs Chocolate, I think it's time you stopped worrying about the hair and started a topic like "Natural Brazilian Booty" with some example pictures

Yeah, I see What you mean about the Mauricinhos. There are more of them in my social circle due to college and more and I am aware that they wont introduce me to the family if ever approach me.
But, overall I like men. If they don't like, don't look. LOL.

your hair... won't fix your face. on a relative scale its a non issue. if ms.chocolate doesn't care what dudes think about her hair then she wouldnt ask a male forum about it am i right. yeah. so real talk she's about a 5/10, give or take, in the face and the body is not all that either or else it would be all up here or actually she wouldnt be on this forum. and of theres the chumps gassing her up sayn she's cute. cmon yall

and you shouldn't take a ridiculous close up with no makeup. put a little makeup on and maybe when you smile show less teeth. either way just because a dude is looking at you doesnt mean he likes you he can just look because hes trying to figure out if you look good or not or whatever. but forreal it's not fair to criticize someone on what they can't totally control. but some makeup helps.

this girl looks good no matter what imho.

I think that you are cute and natural hair is def better. Extensions are disgusting, I mean, you bang a black girl and afterwards you got some indian or chinese hair in your bed!? Bähh.

This is actually ok with me. She represents one of the rare "exceptions" to my aversion to natural hair that I was talking about. There's enough flow there for me to work with, and the style looks quite nice on her.

The rest of these can all get right out:

I'd agree with you, expect for the very first girl in the second block of pictures, mainly because all the other girls dont have "natural" hair. That shits been fucked with 8 ways to Sunday and its very obvious.

The first two girls have not. My girl right now has hair just like the first girl and she does NOTHING to it. Just wash and dry and thats it. I make fun of her and call her poof, but I dont mind it. It makes her look younger. But if she started teasing and froing out her shit and trying to style up into some weird chunk, oh hell no.

On the contrary, I hate when dark skin black girls get bone straight weaves. It looks weird to me. Because it's so blatantly obvious that it's fake that it makes it hard to take her seriously. I think the girl in this photo below is cute as hell, but that weave looks out of place.

Thank you for your honest reply.

You didn't get it the point of this thread. If I had only bad replies about my hair, I would let it natural anyway. Guys here could also put their preferences and discuss about it. Not only how do I look in my pics. After long requests, I posted my pic TWICE since 2009.

First, I don't think that all men on Earth need or will love me because I am a Disney Princess. Secondly, if you were here earlier, you would see my replies about men and relationships. And this is why I am still here and Rooshv himself allowed it. I achieved guys respect due my thoughts, Not (only) because of my looks.

About the make up, I like it and I wear it, but I am so confident about myself that I don't need to take all my pics wearing it. I am not affraid to look ugly.

You have the right to disagree. And I would love to see a pic of you to say how ugly or how handsome you are in the same way. The girl you liked here is light skinned and don't have much black features, like the lose, lips... My guess... I am not your type. And there is nothing wrong about it and I really don't care and I won't cry due to that.

If I made your day happier because you could try let someone down due your comments, good for you.

I think it looks great on her. I prefer that to watching some styled up chunk on her head like this:

Swap her current style out for one of these things above, and you've turned a solid 7.5/8 into a 5 in my book.
