Super comfortable. Walk down in sunny place, sockless, and wait for inevitable eye contact at shoes and the glint in their eye. Boom. She's yours.

The problem with having a Lamborghini and other sports cars is you can't bring it with you into the hotel bar or club, and it's not like you're going to casually pull out your car keys w/ logo in the middle of an approach to show her what you're rolling with. She only sees it after you've secured the deal and ready to take her home.

That's where items like these come into play. They're elegant, yet not overwhelmingly ostentatious with designer logos plastered all over them that scream try-hard. Paying with $100 bills and wearing Ed Hardy or a shirt with Hugo Boss in huge letters is a turn-off. You want to exude wealth and class effortlessly. These do that for you. Watches do this to an extent, but women don't know watches. They know shoes.

Try em out and see what happens. Walking around in $1000 kicks also gives you an aura of confidence as you would with a suit. Call it superficial and materialistic, but hey, it works.

I kind of want those just because they won't sell them in California, where I live.

they're very nice. and i get exactly what you mean about them not being gaudy and obnoxious. they're "elegant" as you put it best.

i don't know about sockless though, especially in hot weather, unless you want your $1000 shoes to smell. invisible socks?

Those are fucking sick, even though they're expensive, I think they're worth it. I enjoy the finer things in life, even when they don't always make sense on paper. I think rocked with the right outfit, you would definitely get mad IOI's, and if you found the right fishbowl you'd kill it for sure. I got a pair of crocodile loafers, picked them up on the cheap in Cambodia, unfortunately never get a good opportunity to wear them. I think those Gucci pythons are sicker. Already have a nice watch so next thing for me to burn money on will probably be a pimp David Yurman ring. Will keep those loafers in mind tho!!

I believe higher level shoes absolutely get noticed by women, even tho they seldom will specifically say anything about them until they know you well.

Good shoes are critical for gaming upscale girls especially

I don't understand how you guys reconcile supporting buying $1000 shoes to impress women while constantly hating on dudes who pay $30 to sleep with an attractive (debatable) prostitute.

That's a nice straw-man you have there.

I can't justify shoes that expensive on my hilarious/shitty budget.

Shit, the brown leather ones are only $450.

I know that's a lot on a young guy's budget, but when you finally work up the means, something like these should definitely be on your radar.

Shoes have massive leverage. Like suits, you get an exponential return if you put a little money into them.

Also keep in mind that quality shoes with the right care last a lot longer than mediocre shoes. Sometimes cheap shoes are the most expensive ones.

Gucci loafers are sick...own a few pairs but the pythons I wouldn't know where to begin working those into my wardrobe...they'd be a pass for me but I recommend anybody when they can swing it to get some, chicks do notice and they pull your look together.

It's the driving shoes that Gucci makes that I would like to add to my wardrobe... they run about $500 for the brown or black leather or light brown suede.

But those python loafers are wild, and I don't know how I would work that in to my wear, too.

I do like Gucci loafers ( not the python ones though tbh ) however a word of warning before spending a $1000 on a pair: the problem I've always had with my loafers in the past ( not Gucci ) is that due to the design of loafers where there is no conventional sole to the shoe you scuff the leather on the toe very easily,it's almost impossible not too. Also you have no protection against things like puddles, glass etc. So if you are wearing them a lot then you are going to do them some damage relatively quickly compared to shoes with soles. I'd be fuming if I spent a thousand and within a week the scales of the python were scuffing off. A way around that is to buy their 'Driver' shoe which offers more protection but still has the loafer look.

They are not quite as stylish but you'll get a lot more wear out of them before they start to show signs of ageing especially if you don't get them in white.

Wearing Gucci loafers will make you feel great but don't wear them constantly, just use them on certain nights out and events because then you won't get too familiar with them and lose that feeling of confidence wearing them initially brings. Familiarity breeds contempt.

Loafers however are only good in summer in the UK so I'm considering justifying buying these instead which will be wearable all year:

I like the loafers in the first link, but beige suede gets dirty really easily, all it takes is stepping in a puddle or having someone with dirty shoes accidentally step on them once, and they'll get stained. Maybe there are shoe specialist that can clean them, I don't know.

Not feeling those shoes in the second link at all, personally would never wear them.

Most of my (extensive) collection of fine shoes- Bally, Ferragamo, Churches, Cheaney, Crocket & Jones, Mantellassi, Bruno Magli,Jil Sander, etc was bought through Ebay at a small fraction of the cost.

I focus on buying from sellers who have high ratings after a reasonable amount of sales. I look for shoes that appear to have had minimal wear and meet my measurements in inches (the seller should supply this, if not ask for it) and try to snag them at a low price

Yes. They "age" well too. As in, you might get some kicks for the cheap that last a couple of years and you can wear them, but they start to look run down. Expensive shoes keep looking good, even as they get scuffs, burnishing, and general distress.
