What happened to G? Did he retire from the forum a la Mixx?
I gotta say, I'm a fan of his blog. It's a full of entertaining stories, sharp humor, and good insights. Even the music videos he posts at the end of his articles reflect good taste. I was reading the one about Bogota to see what he had to say (I was there last in 2010 and one of my best buds is there now). I saw a video G posted of a song I hadn't heard in a while, "Si no le contesto" by Plan B. That brought back memories!
Anyway, he's still generating articles on his site even though he's no longer on the forum:

If G is really out I would politely ask to Mr. Roosh to try to reach him in order to find out his reasons and try to bring him back.
I remember that he had some kind of rant after a thread against cigarrete use , don't know if that was what triggered the decision for him.
It would be very bad to lose G and Mixx in a short period of time. It would be nice if Roosh could contact those guys.
And, when the time comes, I think we should bring back the rep points.

There was a period not long ago that G was away for 2 months almost. He is known to do that every once in a while.
It is even healthy, I'd say.
If there is one member we oughta consider his abstinence is Pusscrook, who hasn't been here since January last time I check.
But I'm sure G will be back in due time.

Yeah G-Manifesto tends to not post for periods of time, there are a lot of forum members who "drop off" and don't post for months at a time, only to come back, some I can think of off the top of my head are, Rocco81, OldNemesis, Fisto, Hydrogonian, International Playboy, and Pepini. Hopefully Hydro comes back, because I think he's one of the forums' best posters.
Other guys that were active and seem to have completely quit are Quasi, El Guapo, Pusscrook, CupCake, College Game, and Party Time.
I wonder what happened to those guys and why they "quit" the forum?

G left after the smoking thread, and then his parody thread on drinking. The last time he went on hiatus he was gone for ages and it took a lot of people asking around on the forum where he was to bring him back, hopefully it wont again this time.

I think it's normal for people to take a step back from a community like this and just do their own thing for a while. They can come back with a new perspective.

Luckystar has also disappeared for a while now.

The forum will be just fine without G and Mixx. Solid posters will come, and they will go. No one person leaving will have a huge impact on the forum, not even Roosh. This places strength is in the community, not in any one or two individuals. It would be nice to have Mixx and G around, but if they choose to not come back, others will fill their shoes. IMO, HC has been the most valuable poster since I have joined, and he has only been here since November like I have. So we lose G and Mixx, but gain HC. Maybe we will lose HC eventually, but someone else will step in to fill his shoes. Things will keep movin on regardless of who comes or who goes.

his shtick jumps the shark too often to be taken seriously. plus all that chat about custom suits and the other accoutrements of the international playboy are pure GQ/sunday supplement aspiration porn for 95% of this forum. i've only read someone write about clothes like this once before, and that was the imagined psychotic mind of a harvard yuppie

I understand some new members are not familiar with the community we have here.

I hung with El Guapo in Brazil and he's crashed at my apartment in L.A. before. Real cool dude. He still blogs: http://www.mavericktraveler.com/
I had the feeling he got sick of the whole "PUA" thing and has moved on.

Real talk. I hope guys don't take this particular post as hating though - on the internet people are quick to attack just about everything as negatively as possible if they disagree, instead of truly reading what someone has written. There are plenty of instances
where someone focused on one or two words within a post, and went off on a nonsensical riff when they obviously didn't understand the post they read. I enjoy reading the posts and bantering with many of the guys mentioned. And lets not forget, some have their own blogs that you can easily drop in on. Others are maybe using this as the impetus to start their own thing. But lets also not forget that some of them decided to withdraw and withhold their contributions because of decision Roosh made, with hopes that the forum would be weakened, thus forcing Roosh to reverse the decision. That's selfish, no matter how you slice it, no matter what the justifications. I try to respect men, but I don't worship anyone. Instead of bemoaning the departures, step your own game and contributions up. I'm sure even the departed would agree with that.
I also think part of the ebb and flow of the forum is due to the fact that you go through periods
where there really isn't anything new to discuss. There's annoyance when someone starts a dupe thread, but it's also possible that the previous thread didn't come up in the search (or yes, they didn't search thoroughly enough). Or someone bitches because someone bumped an old thread, when in fact that might have been the right thing to do instead of starting a new one. From time to time some of the veterans were a bit intolerant. New people are continually joining and lurking, so these things will happen. Occasionally stepping away might actually be good for the individual, and the forum as a whole.

I'd like to see G back, he's always kind and helpful to game noobs, and while I don't really like his blog I think his posts are witty and insightful. So G, I hope you're just taking a random break.
