My brother had told me that all girls will look at you and you can just some how know if they want to bang you. I met a girl kinda using this method of sorts. But both me and him have great conversation skills though I get laid a hell of a lot less then he does. Though I am going for engineering in college so I'm 10x better off then him already.

Any advice for a somewhat newbie who often comes off smart and nice guy-ish?

yeah, stop being a smart-ass (women don't get it), and stop being a nice guyish (women will never appreciate it).

there's a reason your boy is getting laid more than you; he does not give a shit about being an engineer (like you) or being a bar-back, and women actually like that - he does not seek their approval.

Well I come off as being smart and a nice guy when I'm not trying to. I don't speak about college or anything remotely smart. Once I get past "Hi" I've had a lot of girls either say, ""You're smart" or "You aren't from around here are you?". I've asked a few girls about it and they say they knew I was different the instant I walked through the door essentially. It just seems to be hurting my game.

My bro is more social over all but I'm just as good as a talker as he is. Our humor is the same and gets just as many laughs but some of the things he says are funny because they are really stupid. I'm he brother, I live with the guy I know they are stupid and so does everyone else but it's still funny.

How would giving a shit about your future be a set back?

The way you perceive yourself is not always the way others see you.

Put another way, you know the qualities you inherently possess, but you may not exude those qualities in the way you think you do.

Put an even different way, just because you think you're a good talker, doesn't mean others think you are.

Women at your age want personality. They want fun. Women in their 30s and above want stability. A degree in engineering impresses your relatives. You need to realize that women your age want superficial bullshit. They are shallow. They want to hear the stupid things your brother says.
If you are naturally intelligent, it can be a challenge to mask your intelligence because you probably speak with good grammar, etc. You don't know it, but you sound intelligent..and boring. You have to study yourself. Know yourself. And most of all, be honest with yourself.
Only then can you manipulate women into believing you are what they want you to be...when in reality, you're just playing a game with them to get what you want.

Thanks for the advice I didn't consider grammar to be there. Talking is pretty much my hobby. In my previous summer job I would spend most of my time talking and joking around with my coworkers who were from 18-40 and and good standing with everyone. Then I would go home and chat with my family for another hour or so.

Don't get me wrong or anything. The degree is for me. I love a good challenge, I love what I do. It impresses me more then anything.

My brother also attracts different type girls I do. It's night and day to be honest. I could go to a club with black girls and they sit next to me and give me crazy obvious vibes. On campus I get next to nothing. Mean while my bro has the same opposite. College girls love him, outside of college he doesn't get as lucky and really has to game.

I will take a look at being even less intelligent with my conversations including grammar. That's an angle I haven't really approached.

As I saw in America girls use categories. If you are put into category ''nice smart guy'' you are fucked up.You cannot change that this is your reputation in the college.

I don't think being told you're smart or don't seem to be from the area from girls is necessarily a bad thing, for the former they just want to see if you're conceited or will make them feel dumb, for the latter girls are always looking for new experiences, plus if they're the "insider" (because they know the area) they will feel like they have the upper hand, that may make them feel more comfortable and thus their guards will be lower.
