Correct me if this is a dupe, but...
I find it exceptionally hard to find nice clothes that fit if you're over 6'6.
Pants are easy, since the height is a clearly labeled size, but shirts are tricky if you're thin and tall. I'm a medium wide, but and XL tall. You end up either looking like you're wearing Santa's wardrobe or trying to show mid-drift. Most good looking clothes don't sell tall sizes, or if they do it's XXXXL Tall.
I was curious if there were any other tall guys on the board who'd found solutions to this. I know some guys custom tailor their suits, but for everyday clothes what places/brands do you guys look for when trying to look good and find fitting sizes?

I'm 6'3 about 200. Most things are too baggy for me. I just started going custom for pretty much all my shirts. Once you do it its hard to go back.

Express has some pretty decent stuff for the price. They have suits, shirts, and everything in long/tall sizes, and they have a nice tailored fit to them. Returns are easy too since they do free return shipping, and they have a store in most malls. They always have some kind of sale going; the one right now is 40% of every item until Monday and if you spend $100 they'll throw in a free pair of movie tickets lol.

I'm 6'3, 200lbs, but my wingspan is 6'10. It's a constant struggle to find clothes that fit well because of my long arms.
Dress Shirts - Have to be made to measure. Find a shop, then experiment with 2 shirts. Expand from there. You should be able to get shirts all in for $120 each. If you buy a $75 shirt and tailor it, you're running up at about $100.
Workout shirts- Under Armour's sleeves are longer than Nike for shirts.
Diesel Causual - Longer sleeves. I'm about the tallest that they carry though. Would not recommend for 6'6
Hugo Boss - I've found all of their clothes fit my body type. Longer arms.
I've had overhead from a couple of ex-basketball friends of mine that they go to Atlanta for clothes. Supposedly there's stores/tailors that a lot of NBA players frequent.
It took me 3-4 years to really figure it out. I was lucky to find a great tailor that helped teach me how clothes were supposed to fit.

ChocolateCockofZeus is right about Express. I'm 6'6 240 so its very difficult to find things that fit well. Thankfully someone else on the forum recommended Express so I have been accumulating clothes from that store for a couple months. Their prices are pretty reasonable and they fit pretty well. Can always take the shirts to a tailor to get them altered.

The thing I keep hearing it get a tailor. Also:
While that's definitely the way I'll go on suits on v-necks and jeans, I'm not sure it's worth tailoring a t. Does anyone know a good v-neck that fits the tall?
I'm 6'4" and the Uniqlo v-necks fit well. At 6'6" they may be too short.

I am 6ft 5"...my biggest problem is getting off the peg jeans or suits that are long enough in the leg (my legs are 36" inside leg).......usually have to shop at places with the XL / tall options.
